Danni Wyatt-Hodge is really on the charge now.

She shuffles across her stumps and sweeps for three, before taking back-to-back fours from the end of Kaveesha Dilhari's over.

The first is slapped through the covers, the second pulled behind square.

14 from the over and England's opener moves into the 90s...

Sri Lanka turn back to youngster Mithali Ayodhya, who starts well by conceding just singles but Nat Sciver-Brunt whacks the final ball of the over to the ropes.

Good signs for the England skipper early on.

Five overs to go and 200 could be in play here.

I'm still concerned England might not be flexible enough with their batting line-up in this tournament. Almost time for Freya Kemp after the fall of the first wicket?

An excellent opening partnership comes to an end with that Amy Jones dismissal. The 137-run stand by Jones and Wyatt-Hodge is England's highest opening partnership in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, and their second highest for any wicket in the history of this competition.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge now features in four of the top five highest opening partnership for England in all T20Is.

Katherine Sciver-Brunt was a little emotional in the TMS box when her wife, and England captain, Nat was singing the anthem earlier.

  8. Eng 135-1published at 13.5 overs

England stick with Nat Sciver-Brunt at three, despite the temptation to promote a Freya Kemp or Dani Gibson.

The England skipper off the mark with a punch through the covers for one.

I don't think she'll be too disappointed with that, turns around straight away. Decent catch from Chamari Athapaththu who's finally showing her teammates how it's done. Sri Lanka finally have a breakthrough.

Now's the time one of these two can really start to put the pressure on Sri Lanka. England have got to get 200 here, surely.

This is now England's highest opening stand in Women's T20 World Cups.

They are approaching their overall record for their highest opening stand in T20s, which was the 147 between Lauren Winfield-Hill and Tammy Beaumont against Pakistan in 2016.

  13. Eng 132-0published at 13 overs

Good use of the feet by Danni Wyatt-Hodge who drills one out of the back of the hand from Kavisha Dilhari for four through point.

England milk singles off the remainder of the over.

Poor drop from Sugandika Dasanayaka. It was really nicely bowled and she should have taken it.

They're starting to have some fun out there. They've built a platform, they've got that partnership and now they're starting to step outside the off stump, carve the ball through the covers, step right outside, sweep the ball into the leg side. It wouldn't surprise me if we saw a couple of reverse sweeps from Amy Jones.

  18. dropped catch

Jones dropped on 48published at 11.3 overs

Amy Jones up down the pitch to Sugandika Dasanayaka and imperiously drives her through the covers for four.

    Confidence flowing now.

However, Sri Lanka are not helping themselves here.

Dasanayaka is given a dolly of caught-and-bowled chance but juggles and spills it.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge, who celebrated her half-century with a cradle-rocking celebration, and Amy Jones cleverly farm the strike for the rest of the over.
