    Lancs 351 & 61-5 v Derbys 374

What is this at Old Trafford... a partnership?

Marcus Harris and Tom Hartley have stopped the rot with a stand of 38 for the sixth wicket.

Shoaib Bashir is into the attack for Derbys as they look for another breakthrough.

    ul-Hassan c Verreynne b O'Neill 16 (Glamorgan 88-2 - Target 478 v Nottinghamshire)

It didn't take Notts long to strike after a lengthy rain break. Zain ul-Hassan tickles one to be caught behind off Fergus O'Neill.

    24 overs left today.

  4. Bad light stops play at The Ovalpublished at 17:22 BST 12 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 648-6

It's begun to get a little darker overhead and the umpires decide the conditions are no longer fit for play.

Frustrating for Ben Cox, who's one short of his first career 150, but he'll have to wait a bit longer to try and get there.

That is, of course, assuming Leicestershire are aiming to try and increase this lead of 128.

  5. Big counties under the pumppublished at 17:21 BST 12 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 648-6

Lancashire and Yorkshire losing bunches of wickets in the last hour.

Surrey watching Leicestershire rack up close to 650 at The Oval.

Middesex and Warwickshire right up against in the fourth innings.

The big Test-venue counties are not having it all their own way this afternoon!

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:19 BST 12 April

    Whiteman b Abbott 4 (Yorks 4-2 – Target 426)

Kyle Abbott has brought that back about 10 inches to smash into the off stump and Sam Whiteman misjudges it completely.

It never looks great when a batsman leaves one but credit to the bowler who, in this sort of form, is as good as anyone operating in the domestic game.

The South African now has 2-4 to go with 4-49 in the first innings. Man of the match contenders, please form an orderly line behind him.

  7. Postpublished at 17:17 BST 12 April

    Yorks 177 & 4-1 v Hants 251 & 351-5d

Heads on hands all round as Sam Whiteman gets an inside edge which flies just out of reach of Ben Brown behind the stumps and scoots away for four.

Whiteman was looking to push into the on side and was undone by sharp movement but replays show Brown would probably have to have been Gordon Banks to get a hand to that one.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:16 BST 12 April

    Zafar Gohar run out 13 (Middlesex 150-7 - Target 262 v Worcs)

Great piece of fielding by Dan Lategan!

Joe Cracknell pushes the ball into the covers, but Lategan swoops on it and scythes down the stumps with a direct hit to run out Zafar Gohar short of his ground.

Worcestershire are closing in now, with Middlesex still 112 short of victory as Sebastian Morgan joins Cracknell.

  9. Postpublished at 17:12 BST 12 April

    Kent 178 & 87-1 v Northants 684-2 dec

There are still plenty of overs in this game, but Northamptonshire will be getting a little frustrated at their inability to break this second-wicket partnership.

The visitors have rotated their seamers and tried a sprinkle of Calvin Harrison's leg-spin as well, but Ben Compton and Sam Northeast - who have 37 apiece - are repelling everything for now.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:11 BST 12 April

    Hughes b Thompson 83 (Sussex 176-4 - Target 328 v Warks)

Where did that come from? Jordan Thompson gets Daniel Hughes to play on and dismisses the Australian for 83.

Sussex had looked to be cruising and to say Warwickshire needed that would be something of an understatement.

  12. wicket

    Eskinazi lbw b Clark 100 (Surrey 520 v Leics 639-6)

Surrey had almost forgotten what it felt like to take a wicket...

Jordan Clark has toiled ceaselessly today and he finally gains some return on his investment, bringing one back at Stephen Eskinazi to trap him in front, in the next over after reaching a ton.

That ends Eskinazi's partnership of 227 with Ben Cox and Ben Green comes out to the middle in his place.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:05 BST 12 April

    Lyth c Mayes b Abbott 0 (Yorks 177 & 0-1 v Hants 251 & 351-5d)

Ooh.. and that is not what the White Rose wanted as Adam Lyth edges to Ben Mayes at second slip.

Great ball from Kyle Abbott who angles it in and shapes it away but Lyth is a key wicket for Yorks and they are one down in the first over.

    Surrey 520 v Leics 639-5

Stephen Eskinazi punches the air after turning Dan Lawrence for a leg-side single as he follows Ben Cox to three figures.

Eskinazi has been there for 210 balls and close to five hours and he's thoroughly deserved his hundred, the second time he's achieved that since joining Leicestershire towards the end of last season.

The Foxes' lead is now 119 - and this is their highest total ever against Surrey.

    Lancs 351 & 28-5 v Derbys 374

Plenty depends on Marcus Harris but, as calm as he has looked on his way to 14, he cannot get Lancs to safety on his own.

Tom Hartley has joined him at the crease and the Red Rose need a partnership given they are effectively 5-5.

  16. 100 runs

100 partnership for Leaning and Hughespublished at 17:02 BST 12 April

    Sussex 170-3 - Target 328 v Warwickshire

Jack Leaning and Daniel Hughes have taken Sussex beyond halfway in their run chase.

Their stand has reached three figures at better then four an over putting pressure on the Bears.

Only two targets higher than this were chased down in the first division last season, both by Warwickshire.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:57 BST 12 April

    Hurst b Chappell 0 (Lancs 351 & 23-5 v Derbys 374

Quite a delivery to get before you have a run.

Zak Chappell has 3-8 now and Lancs are now five down with the scores level as the Derbys man follows up a double wicket maiden with a wicket maiden.

Matty Hurst plays down the wrong line, just inside as it happens, and loses his off stump.

  18. Play resumes in Bristolpublished at 16:56 BST 12 April

    Glos 175 & 186-8 v Durham 605-5 dec

Thankfully that stoppage was not too long and the players are back in the middle.

Callum Parkinson to resume with his left-arm twirlers.

  19. Pitch inspection at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:55 BST 12 April

    Notts v Glamorgan 83-1 - Target 478

A pitch inspection is imminent at Trent Bridge to see if and when play can resume.

Remember, the teams have been off because of rain since the lunch interval.

HANTS 351-5 DECLAREDpublished at 16:55 BST 12 April

    Yorks 177 (Target 426) v Hants 251 & 351-5d

Right... a bit to get through here.

Ben Brown has reached his century from 108 balls with a six over square leg off Dom Bess, falling to his back as he does so.

It is the fourth maximum since the fall of Jake Lehmann in a flurry of runs (36 in three overs) and it is enough for captain Brown to call time on their innings.

The declaration leaves Yorkshire needing 426 for the win.
