    Surrey 421 & 120-3 v Hampshire 333

These two have put on 50 in short order, though the manner Dom Sibley brought it up was a little fortunate with a thick inside edge off old foe Kyle Abbott.

11 singles in 12 balls for Surrey and Sibley brings up his half-century from 98 balls with four boundaries.

I would think, the way they're going about this, they would want a lead of about 300 and I think they would want that by about lunchtime.

Surrey lead past 200published at 11:48 BST 10 June

    Surrey 421 & 115-3 v Hampshire 333

Dom Sibley strolls down the track to disturb a flock of pigeons who had gathered before he and Dan Lawrence milk six singles off Felix Organ to take the lead past 200.

Organ did appeal for lbw as Sibley swept the final ball but it's outside the line and just a leg bye.

Great fielding from Sonny Baker to deny Dom Sibley at least a couple of runs off Kyle Abbott with a diving stop at wide mid-off.

Dan Lawrence picks up another single before Abbott beats the edge of Sibley's bat twice in succession.

These two had a ding-dong battle on Sunday morning and are reprising the roles here.

I think they [Surrey] are definitely going to give Hampshire another go and just hope that those showers predicted are not long, heavy or frequent.

  7. Postpublished at 11:42 BST 10 June

    Surrey 421 & 107-3 v Hampshire 333

Felix Organ is back, and the over-rate has ticked down to -1. Hampshire will NOT want to give those hard-earned bonus points back at the end of this game.

Dom Sibley picks up a single to square leg before Dan Lawrence punches delightfully through the covers for his fifth boundary.

He runs two from the next and then clips to deep square for a single to reach 29* from 17 before Sibley rotates strike with another one to mid-wicket to move onto 44*.

Lawrence drives the last along the ground straight to extra cover.

    The lead is 195.

    Surrey 421 & 98-3 v Hampshire 333

They haven't got a sweeper out there, Lawrence walked down the line of leg stump and opened up the offside.

That has fairly whistled off to the cover boundary rope for four.

He's walking straight down to Abbott. And then he smashed that through extra cover.

  9. Postpublished at 11:38 BST 10 June

Glorious cut through the covers from Dan Lawrence as Kyle Abbott drops one short as he returns.

He clips the next to mid-wicket on the walk for a single to move to 22* from 13 balls.

Dom Sibley fends off the next couple before clipping to deep square for a single and Lawrence can't quite find the single he wants to keep strike from the sixth delivery.

Dan Lawrence works a single off Felix Organ before Dom Sibley sweeps nicely to the fine leg boundary to reach 40*.

Sibley pushes at the fourth ball but doesn't get the bat on ball but he picks up a single from the penultimate ball before Dan Lawrence keeps strike with a single to mid-wicket off the last.

The lead is 180. 86 overs left on the slate today.

    Surrey 421 & 85-3 v Hampshire 333

Kyle Abbott replaces Sonny Baker at the Vauxhall End and Dan Lawrence comes down the wicket and wallops him to the mid-wicket boundary for four.

He glances the second ball off his hips to the fine leg fence for another - getting flashbacks to Sunday already. 14 off seven balls.

Abbott replies by beating the outside edge before Lawrence almost chops on with an inside edge from the fourth, which does allow him to run a single. His intent is clear.

The final ball nips away to beats the edge of Dom Sibley's bat once again, muted appeals but nothing doing. What a ball though.

Dan Lawrence is in some nick.

A glorious straight drive back over Felix Organ's head brings him a one-bounce four and he picks up two singles off the over too, with Dom Sibley adding another two to reach 36*.

    The lead is 164.

Dom Sibley hogs the strike for Sonny Baker's new over, which is a maiden, despite Sibley wafting outside off stump from the final ball.

England could do worse than having a look at Lawrence, across formats. Had a good Blast too, can bowl. I hear a spot is opening up at 6/7 in the Test team...

    Chris, London

Time will tell, Chris. He's certainly been in good nick this week... 94* from 47 balls on Friday night here in the Blast and then a maiden double-ton on Sunday.

    Fisher c Lehmann b Organ 12 (Surrey 421 & 69-3 v Hampshire 333)

Felix Organ rattled off five dot balls as the visitors try to bring the over rate back towards zero from -3 last night.

And he's got a wicket from his sixth.

Matt Fisher cracks a short ball straight into the chest of Jake Lehmann at short mid-wicket.

Dan Lawrence is the new batter, fresh from his 218 on the opening day.

Dom Sibley picks up a single and Matt Fisher a couple off Sonny Baker.

The bad news is the ground staff are on the move, marching towards the covers with a touch of menace. Have they spotted a shower on the radar?

  19. Postpublished at 11:13 BST 10 June

    Surrey 421 & 66-2 v Hampshire 333

Matt Fisher picks up a couple of singles off Felix Organ and Dom Sibley another before sweeping the last ball to deep backward square for two to reach 34*.

The lead is 154. Slow going from the hosts.

  20. Postpublished at 11:10 BST 10 June

    Surrey 421 & 61-2 v Hampshire 333

Sonny Baker returns at the other end with Dom Sibley on strike.

The third ball draws a prod outside off but there's no contact on the way through to Ben Brown.

Sibley dots the next down towards cover to pick up a single before Matt Fisher flays to third for another.

Sibley ducks under a short final ball so Fisher will be on strike for Felix Organ's next over.
