I really have lost count of the total number of runs I've seen Dan Lawrence score since Friday night.

Felix Organ is removed from the firing line with Sonny Baker coming on to try to stem the flow of Surrey runs, which is only partly successful.

Dan Lawrence picks up a single to reach 90* from 55 balls before Dom Sibley clips to fine leg for two and then hooks a single.

Lawrence steps across his stumps to pull another leg-side four. Gosh he hit that hard. 0.7 seconds to the boundary rope, as an estimate.

A single takes him to 95*.

Nine off the over. The lead is 294. Lawrence is on strike.

I haven't seen one of those shots for quite a while. That really is taking the mick, isn't it?

He's down on one knee, Fuller's banged it in and he's still middled it with those wrists of gold over deep backward square for six.

That is a ridiculous cricket shot from Dan Lawrence. That is a naughty, naughty shot.

    Wow, wow, wow.

Dom Sibley picks up a single off James Fuller to reach 70* and get Dan Lawrence back onto strike.

He picks the gap on the leg side, stood well outside his off stump, pulling for four to go into the 80s.

He follows up with a hook off one knee over the backward square boundary for another six. Utterly bonkers shot. All wrist. 88* from 52 balls.

Fuller replies with a wide one which Lawrence can't connect with before a single keeps Lawrence on strike.

The lead is 285. 40 minutes until lunch.

    That's a different postcode isn't it?

It's brilliant batting again by Dan Lawrence.

It's heaved and it's beaten everybody. That's a big boundary and it's beaten it by a good 15 or 20 yards.

Plenty of time for Lawrence to get 100 here.

The sound you can hear is the accelerator being pressed down.

Dan Lawrence wallops over deep square for his third six, the 100 partnership comes up at better than a run a ball.

Two balls later Lawrence swivels for another monster maximum over deep square into the stands. That's the long boundary too.

He's overtaken Dom Sibley from less than half the deliveries.

20 off the over thanks to some fine running.

    The lead is 273.

Lawrence has 78* from 49 balls.

Dan Lawrence has just walked out there and pulled the trigger. The other thing is, they've been playing T20 so if you are going to go into aggressive mode, you've been doing it for the past three weeks.

These two have added 90 in 14 overs and it makes you wonder if they fancy a crack with the ball before lunch.

The flow of runs continues off James Fuller with another six runs and just the one dot ball.

Lawrence has 60* from 43 and Dom Sibley has 69* from a more reasonable 115.

The lead is 253 with 75 overs remaining in the day.

England could do a lot worse than Lawrence in this kind of form. He can bat 6, Smith back to 7, Bashir out for a seamer and you have 4 seamers and 3 spin options and serious batting to 7.

Felix Organ beats the edge of Dom Sibley's bat for a rare dot ball to start his 10th over.

Sibley flicks a single to get off strike before Dan Lawrence wallops Organ over long-on for his second six into the pavilion.

Organ responds with three dots to finish the over.

So Sibley is on it now. That's a lovely swing of the Sibley bat.

Not a bad delivery at all by James Fuller but Sibley has just stood there and off the front foot, swung it over the legside and all the way for six.

James Fuller continues from the Vauxhall End and gives up three singles in four balls before DOMINIC SIBLEY channels his inner Dan Lawrence with a mighty hoik over deep mid-wicket for six.

It wasn't even a bad ball.

10 off the over. The lead is 239. The players will have a quick drink.

Sibley has 64* with Lawrence 52*.

Hampshire's over rate is back to +1, so that's a small win, at least.

It was inevitable from the time he walked out into the middle that something was going to happen with him.

Who knows? He might go on to get another hundred. We'll see.

Felix Organ's latest over, his ninth, sees five singles, the last of them from the final ball, driven to the deep extra cover brings up a 35-ball half-century for Dan Lawrence, with five fours and a six along the way.

    Purple patch.

He has flung that miles over mid-wicket. It's headed off towards the Harleyford Road that one from Dan Lawrence.

I think if I was asked my opinion on Dan Lawrence at the moment, I'd say he's in very good form...

James Fuller has come on for Kyle Abbott at the Vauxhall End and Dan Lawrence continues the run of singles to move to 38* from 28.

A rare dot ball is followed by a leg-side glance from Dom Sibley for another.

Dan Lawrence gets down on one knee and smashes an almighty six over cow corner, giving Fuller a taste of his own medicine. That was huge. He's on to 44*.

Lawrence guides the next ball to third for a single and Dom Sibley guides into the covers for another.

The lead is 225 with 79 overs remaining - though we'd lose two of those for any change of innings.
