  1. Aus 325-5published at 62 overs

Oh, if I had a pound for every time Ben Stokes and England's slip fielders have looked exasperated... I'd probably have enough for a decent haul of sweets on my way home from this partnership alone.

Josh Inglis squeezes one through the cordon for four. His next shot, also a boundary, is much better, punishing a full delivering into the off side.

Inglis is up to 20 (18). England's lead is down to single figures.

This is the last recognised partnership of batters for Australia and then you're into the bowlers.

Alex Carey and Josh Inglis are looking to counter-attack here. England must break this partnership soon and get stuck into the lower order.

  3. Aus 315-5published at 61 overs

Brydon Carse has three wickets but he's also conceded 105 runs from his 15 overs (one of which was a maiden).

Went to the shop to pick up some crumpets and two wickets have gone. Let me know when you'd like me to go again.

I'm not sure what Australia were doing. I know they were looking at being aggressive towards Carse but he was always going to bring the stumps into play.

At that moment, Australia were dominating. They are still on top but the game is a lot closer than it was.

    Thanks Tim.

I can't make any promises on the wicket-taking front but I'll tell you what I am thinking about right now - England's 10th wicket partnership. Without those 70 runs, Australia would already be comfortably ahead...

It's been a thrilling passage of play where England have swung the momentum back their way at the Gabba.

Time for Elizabeth Botcherby to take you through to the close of play. Hopefully she's got a few Aussie wickets up her sleeve.

  8. Aus 309-5published at 60 overs

Another fortunate drive from Josh Inglis goes through the cordon for four again as the Australia batter throws caution to the wind.

I looked down about 20 minutes ago and it looked like none of the England players had any energy in their legs. As soon as that catch was taken, all the energy has come back.

A stunning grab from Will Jacks. Feast your eyes on this.

  11. Aus 305-5published at 59.1 overs

    Heads in hands again.

Josh Inglis edges a drive on the up to Ben Stokes and the ball flies through the vacant third or fourth slip region and away to the boundary for four.

    Ben Stokes smells blood.

Stokesy identifies moments where momentum is changing and he will try to make the most of those little periods as they don't last forever in Test cricket.

It's about taking your opportunity when you're on top and making it count.

  13. Aus 301-5published at 59 overs

Josh Inglis, Yorkshire-born of course, chewing his gum with a little more ferocity.

Brydon Carse, who has 3-99, concedes a couple of singles in his 14th over as England attempt to apply some pressure on the two new batters.

Strangely, that dropped catch from Ben Duckett worked in England's favour, they'd rather have Steve Smith out than Alex Carey.

I reckon Will Jacks has justified his selection after that catch. He doesn't need to do anything else in the game really.

WinViz has jumped from 30% to 48% for England with those back-to-back wickets of Green and Smith in a span of four deliveries.

  17. Aus 299-5published at 58 overs

    Alex Carey decides to counterattack.

He dances down the pitch Ben Stokes and slices a cut over the head of gully for four.

    Stokes chuckles to himself.

Much more conventional from Carey next ball and he picks up three behind square.

Australia's top five have all reached 30, there's been 145 other times in Test cricket when this has happened but this is the fourth time that all have been out before reaching 75.

This is as good of a catch I've ever seen. Oh my word! It doesn't get any better than that, that's a piece of incredible movement from Jacks. We're seeing Australia do what England normally do with the bat in hand, error after error.

Now England are back in the game. We've got a Test match on our hands.

  20. Aus 292-5published at 57 overs

We'll have the clip of that spectacular Will Jacks catch with you as soon as possible.

Josh Inglis joins Alex Carey at the crease. Time for England to get the bit between their teeth and grab this Test match by the scruff of the neck.
