    Lauren Bell gets one to crash into Shafali Verma's front pad and swivels round for an appeal. A firm shake of the head. It was flying way down leg.

    Two balls later, she beats Verma's outside edge with the opener pushing forward in defence. Verma finishes the over with a huge swing and miss.

    A fifth maiden of the innings for Bell, who has 0-11 from eight overs.

    England are just desperate for something here. They have half-an-eye on the scoreboard but that lead is just ticking further up.

    A wider delivery is dispatched through point for four by Smriti Mandhana.

    The India opener picks up a second boundary off the next ball but with little control - edging through the slips.

    And then Mandhana's finesse returns, cutting a short and wide delivery to the rope.

    Smriti Mandhana goes aerial and the ball drops short of Issy Wong running in from the square boundary. Wong ended up kneeing it after the bounce. Ouch. Single.

    Shafali Verma adds a seventh boundary to her tally, driving sweetly through the covers.

    50 up for India. They lead by 166 runs.

    Enjoying watching Indian woman play cricket more than Indian Men. Worst performance I have by the mens team. Some of the players and coaching staff needs to be replaced.

    The attendance was 10,763 on day one so more than 26,000 have currently attended this Test.
