It is probably time to start looking at records for fourth innings chases in women's Tests. It is not pretty reading from and England perspective as India's lead continues to climb.

The highest successful fourth-innings run chase is 198 by Australia against England in Sydney in 2011.

England's highest successful fourth-innings run chase is 173 which they have pulled off twice, both times against New Zealand, in 1969 and 1992.

Looking beyond winning causes, England do hold the record for the highest fourth-innings score, which is 245-9 in a draw against Australia in 2022.

Very disappointing performance from England. Looking totally lost. Honestly believe Charlie Dean has to take over. And getting a little bit fed up with hearing about Alice Capsey being the next big thing, she just doesn't deliver.
