John Sharp: We currently don't know whether Knight has lost it at international level, or is in a lull of form and will find it again. She's earned the right for us to assume the it's the latter until proven otherwise. She's singlehandedly won England multiple matches.

That could be such a big moment in Sophia Dunkley's career. There's a tussle for places going on with a home World Cup on the horizon.

    Can she take advantage?

I can't believe she's dropped that. Straight to her at backward point, she's got buckets for hands normally.

Well! Is this the moment that gets Sophia Dunkley going this summer?

A massive stroke of luck as Jemimah Rodrigues - normally such a good fielder - puts down a sitter at backward point.

England looking a bit tentative there. Could Sophia Dunkley have hit Arundhati Reddy down the ground?

  6. Eng 2-0published at 1 over

England's first run comes from a wide but that is all that is doing in the first over. Gentle applause from those in the sunshine over to my right.

England’s women do very well in Bristol, winning five of the six T20Is that have been hosted here. However, the only defeat for them at this ground was their last match here, last summer - also against India.

  8. Eng 0-0published at 0.3 overs

It's a careful start with Arundhati Reddy swinging it in towards Sophia Dunkley's pads.

Steph Woodman: England need power hitters. Knight has been amazing over the years but in the modern T20 game a much higher strike-rate is required so it’s time for someone else to take her place.

Well Sophia Dunkley has that chance from the very first ball. She has taken strike. Arundhati Reddy has the ball in hand...

I wouldn't be surprised if Sophia Dunkley gets runs today because she might feel a little bit calmer with her batting partner.

What Danni Wyatt-Hodge has added to her game in the last few years is sweeping, she'll sweep the spinners and seamers. She's a 360 player, and there aren't many dot balls when she's batting.

Some of the strike rates in England's middle order are a concern. Heather Knight hasn't quite found her rhythm, it feels like they're begging for Nat Sciver-Brunt to come back and slot back in.

This looks like England's strongest available side with DannI Wyatt-Hodge back at the top of the order.

Interestingly, Sophia Dunkley keeps her place alongside her as opener despite her struggles this summer. Alice Capsey, who has been in good form, drops down.

That feels like a sign Dunkley still has enough credit in the bank. Heather Knight needs a good knock today to dampen the talk around her place.

Remember captain Nat Sciver-Brunt still needs to get back into that top order when she returns from her calf injury.

England's strength is their bowling attack so hopefully they can put a good score on the board and try and defend it.

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur: "We would have been looking to bat first too. The pitch looks a bit dry so we have added an extra spinner today. The way we batted in the first game set the tone for us and hopefully it continues today. Hopefully we'll play similar cricket today."

England captain Charlie Dean: "We're going to have a bat. Feels like a good day to get out there. It looks a belter.

"There was lots of positives from that game [the first T20 at Chelmsford]. We were in a brilliant position with bat and ball and we need to be ruthless and work on the back end of our innings.

"Really excited to see Danni Wyatt-Hodge back today. She brings a wealth of experience to the team.

"Linsey Smith comes back in for Tilly Corteen-Coleman and Danni comes in for Issy Wong, so we've gone for an extra batter today."

England were really underwhelming in losing by 38 runs in the first T20 on Thursday. They were ragged with the ball and, perhaps of more concern, was how they failed to fire at all with the bat.

They just looked a bit tame.

That needs to change today. The return of Danni Wyatt-Hodge, who was in great form domestically before taking a few weeks off for the birth of her first time, should help that.

England need a performance after Thursday's disappointing defeat.
