  1. 50 runs

50 for Bedinghampublished at 17:35 BST 9 May

    Worcestershire 308 v Durham 142-4

The only Durham player to reach 30 so far has gone on to make it count, as David Bedingham reaches 50, and will now set his sights on a fourth century of this County Championship season.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:35 BST 9 May

    Prest c Pepper b Cook 1 (Essex 273 v Hants 235 & 19-2)

Another wicket served up with Pepper by Cook.

Identical to the first Hants wicket to fall with an edge from Tom Prest off Sam Cook grabbed behind by Michael Pepper.

This time the wicketkeeper had to work a bit harder diving across first slip to take a decent catch.

But Hants are still trailing (by 19 runs) and they are two down.

  3. 50 runs

50 for Mousley & 200 up for Warwickshirepublished at 17:29 BST 9 May

    Warwickshire 147 & 201-2 v Yorkshire 152 - Warwicks lead by 196

Dan Mousley has played very steadily and becomes the second Bears batter to reach a half-century after Rob Yates.

Sam Hain, who reached 57 in the first innings, is on 19 alongside Mousley.

The Bears' lead is almost 200.

  4. GLAMORGAN ALL OUTpublished at 17:28 BST 9 May

    Glamorgan 229 v Somerset 354

Some big scores with the bat last time out for the Welsh county, but nothing to speak of this time around, with only Ben Kellaway reaching a half century before falling for 59.

Three wickets from Migael Pretorius, and a couple from captain Lewis Gregory, Jake Ball and Craig Overton sees Somerset in a commanding position after the first innings, and they will return to the middle shortly looking to extend their lead of 125.

  5. Postpublished at 17:27 BST 9 May

    Notts 415 v Surrey 151-3

Those two wickets for Josh Tongue have certainly slowed Surrey's progress and they have to be watchful now, still trailing their hosts by 264.

Dan Lawrence is into double figures now, with 11, while Dom Sibley has 65 and Fergus O'Neill, who bowled tightly at the start of this innings, is back on for his second spell.

Get Involvedpublished at 17:26 BST 9 May

Once again Dom Sibley is showing us why he must replace Crawley at the top of the England batting order. Calmly holding the Surrey innings together whilst putting away the bad balls. He is a proper opener capable of seeing off the new ball then scoring freely.

    Chris, Hants

Patel is absolutely tragic this year for Surrey with the bat. Smith was a bit below par but he took four catches. Still should be England’s keeper.

    Zayan, Dagenham

Time to eat humble pie and bring back Jimmy into the test team?

  7. Postpublished at 17:25 BST 9 May

    Sussex 345-7 v Leics 328

Ben Green is playing catch with a group of white coated stags in the stands with a ball being chucked from outfield to crowd by the Leics man.

Much cheering and 'Greeno we love you' going on. A drink or two may have been taken.

  8. Tea at Old Traffordpublished at 17:17 BST 9 May

    Roland-Jones c Hurst b Balderson 0 (Lancs 201 v Middlesex 169)

And that's the end of the Middlesex innings as Toby Roland-Jones swings at George Balderson and is caught behind without scoring.

In fact, the last three wickets all fell without addition to the total and that lead of 32 looks more than useful for Lancashire.

Balderson finishes with 3-19, while James Anderson takes 4-67.

  9. Postpublished at 17:16 BST 9 May

    Albert c Pepper b Cook 1 (Essex 273 v Hants 235 & 13-1)

Hants have lost their first wicket and still trail by 25 runs.

Sam Cook has put this right in the slot and Toby Albert's defensive push is down the wrong line.

The edge is snaffled behind the stumps by Michael Pepper.

  10. Stokes out via a thick edge to second slippublished at 17:15 BST 9 May

    Worcs 308 v Durham 121-4

    Stephan Shemilt
BBC Sport cricket correspondent at New Road

What a day for 20-year-old Jack Home. A vital unbeaten 63 with the bat and now he has has dismissed the England captain with the first ball he bowled to to him. It was a nothing shot from Ben Stokes at the pacey Home. A flirt at one in the channel, resulting in a thick edge to second slip.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:13 BST 9 May

    Hudson-Prentice c Cox b Holland 7 (Sussex 342-7 v Leics 328)

Sussex lead by 14 runs but Leics are fighting hard to stay in this contest and they now have a second wicket with the new ball.

Ian Holland doesn't seem to do anything too remarkable with the ball but Finn Hudson-Prentice has edged it behind.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:11 BST 9 May

    Stokes c Brookes b Home 14 (Worcestershire 308 v Durham 121-4)

Ben Stokes' first innings of the season ends after 17 balls and 14 runs.

A fast edge to second slip from a Jack Home delivery and the England captain is walking at New Road.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:11 BST 9 May

    Morgan c Hurst b Stanley 15 (Lancs 201 v Middlesex 169-9)

Lancashire well on top now as the two set batters depart on the same score.

Sebastian Morgan goes for the hook against Mitch Stanley and gets a connection that deflects the ball through to Matty Hurst.

Last man Naavya Sharma comes out now with Middlesex still 32 behind - and in the context of this match, that could be plenty.

  14. 50 runs

50 for Benjaminpublished at 17:09 BST 9 May

    Gloucestershire 325 v Kent 245-8

Chris Benjamin replicates the work of Tawanda Muyeye earlier and secures a half century for Kent, which pushes them closer to a bonus batting point in Bristol.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:06 BST 9 May

    Du Plooy c Jones b Balderson 67 (Lancs 201 v Middlesex 169-8)

    Big wicket for Lancashire!

George Balderson slants the ball across Leus du Plooy and finds the edge, which sails to Michael Jones at slip.

Great knock by Du Plooy, who was running down the wicket to the seamers at every opportunity and keeping his side in contention, but they still trail by 32 as Toby Roland-Jones comes to the crease.

  16. Division 2 Updatepublished at 17:04 BST 9 May

    #bbccricket

As we've heard already from New Road, Ben Stokes is now in for Durham, chasing 308 with his side 111-3 against Worcestershire.

Northants will probably be starting to fear the follow on, already four wickets down with only 60 on the board and Derbyshire sitting pretty on 604-7 declared.

Finely poised in Bristol, as Kent creep closer to Gloucestershire's 325 tally, Chris Benjamin picking up where Tawanda Muyeye (90) left off, approaching a half century, as four wickets from Will Williams has left the visitors 244-7.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:03 BST 9 May

    Patel c Slater b Tongue 2 (Notts 415 v Surrey 137-3)

    Josh Tongue again!

Surrey are struggling to deal with the seamer's hostile, short-pitched bowling and Ryan Patel can only guide this rising ball into the hands of short leg.

Nottinghamshire secure their first bowling bonus point and Dan Lawrence is the next man in.

  18. Postpublished at 16:58 BST 9 May

    Lancs 201 v Middlesex 166-7

Time for Jimmy Anderson to give himself and Tom Bailey a bit of a breather and bring on Mitch Stanley in tandem with George Balderson.

Two spinners in this Lancashire line-up, but we haven't seen hide nor hair of them so far in these seam-friendly conditions.

Middlesex have narrowed the gap to 35 runs now, with Leus du Plooy on 66 and Sebastian Morgan 13.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:57 BST 9 May

    Tear lbw b Helm 44 (Sussex 333-6 v Leics 328)

Leics take a wicket straight away with the new ball as Charlie Tear falls to Tom Helm.

This has moved off the seam and pinned Tear in front. Not much doubt or dissent to a straightforward decision.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:51 BST 9 May

    Norton c Leach b Gregory 11 (Glamorgan 206-9 v Somerset 354)

A first County Championship innings comes to an end for 18-year-old Tom Norton, caught at Mid On by Jack Leach.

Somerset will probably be back in the middle soon.
