We did see the best of her striking tonight, though. That wicket could be the difference of about 30 extra runs for New Zealand.

That may be the last innings we see from Sophie Devine in a New Zealand shirt.

    It's out.

If that is the end then thank you, Sophie. Thank you.

It was an unusual option from Sophie Devine, standing so far across her stumps. It came from England changing the field and leaving the leg side open.

It's very straight. Could it be going over on this bouncy pitch?

Is this another? Is this the end of Sophie Devine?

She is given out lbw to Lauren Bell.

England have been outstanding in the field. Brooke Halliday was at least two metres short, the momentum shifts again.

Halliday run out (Dean) 20 (NZ 124-4)

Magic. I said earlier Charlie Dean was setting the tone in the field and now she throws the stumps down with a direct hit from extra cover.

It's a superb bit of fielding and this Oval crowd love it.

England's highest chase at home is the 184-4 they made against India earlier this year, if you're wondering.

This looks a very good pitch.

The one thing I wonder about England is whether they need a wrist spinner. It would help so much in these situations when a batter is really going after them.

Sophie Devine could probably hit sixes while she is sleepwalking.

Six more to Sophie Devine over the leg side!

Sophie Ecclestone has pulled her length back considerably today compared to the earlier games in this T20 World Cup. In her two overs so far, she's bowled at an average length of 4.76m, almost 40cms shorter than her average length of 4.28m in the first four games.

England will be well aware of the danger of Sophie Devine. She's been doing this for two decades and whacked 87 against England last month.

    Ecclestone returns after drinks...

Now, the acceleration is beginning. If they continue with this momentum, they can think of 170-plus. The left-hand, right-hand combo is causing England problems.

Huuuuge from Sophie Devine and dropped by a man in the crowd.

And again! Back-to-back sixes from the New Zealand all-rounder.

    Don't retire just yet!

This is now the second time in the last month that Dani Gibson has made a double strike in an over in T20Is. She picked up the crucial wickets of Melie Kerr and Izzy Gaze today in the 11th over today. Earlier in the summer, in the 3rd T20I v New Zealand at Hove, Gibson took the wickets of Melie Kerr and Sophie Devine to reduce New Zealand from 29-2 to 30-4 in the 7th over.

I like Brooke Halliday. She played well in last year's 50-over World Cup too. Here she's switching her stance to flap Charlie Dean for four through gully.

  20. NZ 96-3published at 13 overs

Dani Gibson throws her arms in frustration after allowing Sophie Devine to swing a four down to fine leg. With Lauren Bell inside the circle, that was not the ball to bowl.

She follows with another down the leg side, this time to left-hander Brooke Halliday, which Amy Jones cannot stop. Five wides.
