Craig Overton continues his menacing spell and shapes Kyle Abbott up with a good delivery but Kyle Abbott adjusts well to use the pace of the delivery and flash it over the slip cordon for four.

The South African bowler has moved onto 17 not out off just 18 balls. He's not looking to hang around.

WICKETpublished at 14:21 BST 17 April

    Thompson c Walter b Cook 13 (Warks 113-7 v Essex)

    What a catch that is!

Jordan Thompson plays away from his body a touch and gets a thick outside egde off Sam Cook.

It flies to third slip where Paul Walter dives to his left to pull off a superb one-handed catch. Pretty nimble for a big man.

  4. 100 runs

100 up for Gloucspublished at 14:21 BST 17 April

    Gloucs 104-4 v Lancs

James Bracey flashes at a wide one from Paul Coughlin which goes uppish and misses gully by a few feet for a boundary and Gloucestershire bring their 100 up.

With the next delivery, Bracey times his stroke into the off side much better for another four as he moves onto 12 not out.

150 up for Middlesexpublished at 14:18 BST 17 April

    Northants v Middlesex 150-4

The visitors are building again here at the County Ground as Ben Geddes (65) and Ryan Higgins (12) negotiate the first 40 minutes after lunch.

Geddes nudges a single off Luke Procter to bring up the 150 for Middlesex in the at the end of the 35th over.

The fifth wicket is now worth 45 runs.

    Warks 113-6 v Essex

Jordan Thompson picks up a second boundary in style as Jamie Porter begins his 11th over.

He then plays the ball to cover and sets off and scampers through for a quick single off Jamie Porter.

Comedy ensues as an attempted run-out goes for four buzzers.

  7. Postpublished at 14:15 BST 17 April

    Gloucs 94-4 v Lancs

Lancashire are up again and Paul Coughlin thinks he's got James Bracey strangled behind but the umpire shakes his head.

Lancashire wicket-keeper Matty Hurst is so convinced he throws the ball up in celebration, but no dice.

  8. 'Yusuf struggles against Overton'published at 14:14 BST 17 April

    Hants 128-7 v Somerset

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Yusuf was in all sorts of trouble against Craig Overton. He gets one at full length delivery that ducks back into him, pins him LBW in front of all three.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:09 BST 17 April

    Yusuf lbw b Overton 0 (Hants 126-7 v Somerset)

    Hampshire in real trouble now.

Terrific from Craig Overton who beats Codi Yusuf with a full delivery trapping him on the pads bang in front and the hosts are fading away here.

Somerset are flying though. They have claimed three wickets for just seven runs since returning from lunch.

  10. 100 runs

100 up for Warwickshirepublished at 14:08 BST 17 April

    Warks 100-6 v Essex

Jordan Thompson rocks back onto his back foot and pulls Jamie Porter through point for four to get off the mark and bring up three figures for the Bears.

    Nice shot that!

The landmark has come at a cost and arrives in the 33rd over.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:06 BST 17 April

    Hammond c Hurst b Balderson 8 (Gloucs 93-4 v Lancs)

George Balderson is on fire at the moment - he has his third!

He has done some serious damage to this Gloucestershire top order who were 80-1 just before lunch.

Miles Hammond edges one behind to Matty Hurst who, stood up to the wicket, makes a terrific sharp catch.

This match has turned on its head in the space of a half-hour Balderson spell.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:04 BST 17 April

    Malik lbw b Porter 4 (Warks 96-6 v Essex)

A fourth wicket for Jamie Porter!

Zen Malik plays around a ball which swung in and then straightened, thumping the frnt pad halfway up the shin. As plum as you get.

Porter now has 4-23 and the Bears are six down and still four shy of three figures.

    Jordan Thompson joins Sam Hain.

  13. Postpublished at 14:03 BST 17 April

    Hants 125-6 v Somerset

    Dan George
    BBC Sport at Utilita Bowl

That was a really disappointing way for Liam Dawson to go, lightly chipping one to mid-wicket and Hampshire are really falling away now.

Ogborne had no issues taking that one, a few groans could be heard amongst the Hampshire supporters in front of us as yet another wicket falls for the hosts.

  14. Postpublished at 14:02 BST 17 April

    Warks 96-5 v Essex

Zen Malik has to hurry through to make his ground as the throw come sin after ambling a little for a leg bye.

The Bears could well do without any cheap wickets.

Sam Hain turns Zaman Akhter through square leg for two to move to 36 and then works a loose ball through midwicket for four more as Akhter strays on to the pads.

  15. 'Poor Dawson shot'published at 14:01 BST 17 April

    Hants 124-6 v Somerset

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

It was an airy-fairy sort of shot, trying to play it through mid-wicket.

Maybe the ball just stopped on him a little bit to give him a little bit of an excuse but it wasn't a very good shot and a comfortable catch at mid-wicket.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:59 BST 17 April

Charlesworth lbw b Balderson 26 (Gloucs 91-3v Lancs)

George Balderson gets his second of the day!

Ben Charlesworth is trapped on the back front and this one looks pretty plumb.

He has been the pick of Lancashire's bowlers and has deserved that second wicket for his consistency.

A good 20-minute period for the Red Rose either side of the lunch interval.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:57 BST 17 April

    Dawson c Ogborne b Overton 4 (Hants 124-6 v Somerset)

They're tumbling all over the shop now!

What a soft dismissal. It's an airy-fairy shot from Liam Dawson who chips straight to mid-wicket and Hampshire are six down.

  18. 50 runs

50 for Ben Geddespublished at 13:56 BST 17 April

    Northants v Middlesex 130-4

    Ben GeddesImage source, Shutterstock

Ben Geddes punches Ben Sanderson through the offside for four to bring up his half-century.

An eighth first-class fifty for the 24-year-old and it's well-paced, off 59 balls, with eight fours.

A fast start for Middlesex after lunch.

  19. 'Vaughan ought to have caught'published at 13:54 BST 17 April

    Hants 119-5 v Somerset

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

He gets a consolationary low-five from Tom Abell but he ought to have really taken that catch, Archie Vaughan.

It went quickly away to his left. Complimenting Somerset on their fielding earlier on, that's a blemish and it may be one that comes back to haunt them because Jake Lehmann was going well on 34.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:52 BST 17 April

    Mayes lbw b Ball 15 (Hants 119-5 v Somerset)

Well Somerset haven't let that dropped catch effect them - they grab a fifth wicket just moments later!

Ben Mayes looks to whip one away off his pads but misses a full delivery and I think that would have been crashing into leg stump.

Half of Hampshire's batsmen are now back in the pavilion as Jake Ball joins the party with his first wicket of the match.

    Next man in, Liam Dawson.
