Here is leggie Prema Rawat, on her international debut.

She drifts down the leg side and Brits sweeps her first ball for a couple.

India are strong favourites on WinViz after that double-wicket maiden.

    India's powerplay.

Sree Charani has staggering figures of 2-2 from her two overs.

Time to see if Marizanne Kapp can perform a rescue act for South Africa.

What a final over of the powerplay this is. Sree Charani is dominating with the ball.

Left-armers are so effective in the women's game at the moment.

  6. wicket

    Dercksen b Sree Charani 0 (SA 25-2)

    From bad to worse.

Annerie Dercksen comes and goes in the blink of an eye as is cleaned up by Sree Charani attempting a big drive, and there is a hint of turn which she misjudges.

    India's spinners have been exceptional.

Sree Charani deserves that wicket. She'd cramped Laura Wolvaardt in both overs.

That is excellent fielding and it is a huge wicket.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 5.2 overs

    Wolvaardt c & b Sree Charani 20 (SA 25-1)

There is the wicket, and it was irritatingly predictable.

Laura Wolvaardt clearly felt like she had to be more aggressive than she'd have ideally wanted, because of the amount of dot balls that were building.

She tries to hit Sree Charani down the ground but drives it straight back to the bowler instead.

Tazmin Brits, on five from 11 balls, also has a lot to answer for there.

There will be a huge sigh of relief from Laura Wolvaardt there.

She is perfectionist in many things in her life so the fact she hasn't been able to get anything away will be frustrating for her.

    The frustration is bubbling.

  11. SA 25-0published at 5 overs

    Target 159

A superb shot from Wolvaardt, lofting the ball down the ground for four, before Tazmin Brits defends another dot ball to end the over.

    Sigh.

  12. SA 20-0published at 4.3 overs

To chase 160, the blueprint for South Africa should be for Laura Wolvaardt to bat through the innings in a pretty risk-free manner, and for the rest of the order to be aggressive around her.

But Tazmin Brits is struggling on five from 10 balls. She really has to start taking some risks or else they will fall behind the game very quickly.

  13. SA 19-0published at 4 overs

    Target 159

That is a brilliant opening over from the left-arm spin of Sree Charani.

Just two singles from it as India continue to squeeze. One of the South African openers is going to have to take the initiative - and quickly.

South Africa have had a tough run at the start of this World Cup.

They've changed early from Sune Luus to Tazmin Brits. If it wasn't India today then I think Luus may have got another chance at the top of the order.

That was beautifully picked up. There was a lot of late elegance there.

    SA 17-0published at 3 overs

    Target 159

    And the pressure is relieved!

Too short from Arundhati Reddy and Laura Wolvaardt pounces, launching it over square leg for six.

    Glorious.

  17. SA 9-0published at 2.1 overs

It hasn't worked out that way so far.

Tazmin Brits has two from six and looks very much like a player who's been on the bench for a few weeks. She needs to get going, otherwise too much pressure will build on Wolvaardt.

Could end up as a really close game if SA batters start as well as India's did.

  19. SA 8-0published at 2 overs

    Target 159

This is very smart from India.

They bring Richa Ghosh up to the stumps to keep the South Africa openers in their crease, and the result is just one more single from the over.

  20. SA 7-0published at 1.2 overs

It's not quite the classic elegance of Laura Wolvaardt, but she's such a strong player through the off side regardless.

A wide ball from Nandni Sharma is slashed away for South Africa's first boundary.
