Credit to Middlesex for making Derbyshire work for this.

We start the 40th over of the innings, with Zafar Gohar to bowl it.

    Eight runs needed.

Mousley c Cooke b Hadley 15 (Warwickshire 100-2 v Glamorgan, Warwickshire require 268 more to win)

Big wicket for Glamorgan in Birmingham.

Ryan Hadley, bowling from the pavilion end, delivers the blow.

Dan Mousley plays around a ball and inside edges to Chris Cooke, who takes a low catch.

That may just raise the spirits of Glamorgan and their hopes of winning here.

The weather for now is playing ball and while the ground-staff are ready by the hover cover, there is no need for a stoppage just yet.

    Somerset 526-8d v Sussex 253 & 95-6 f/o

Fynn Hudson-prentice turns the last ball of the over safely into the on side to see out the Archie Vaughan over. A wicket maiden.

A silly mid off, first slip and forward short leg in for Jack Taylor, bowling to John Simpson. Simpson defends.

    Another maiden over ticks by.

  4. Postpublished at 15:08 BST 18 May

    Lancs v Worcs 124-5 - lead by 113

George Balderson keeps plugging away and beats the outside edge but Brett D'Oliveira is playing at the correct line as the ball goes through to Matty Hurst stood up to the stumps.

Three maiden overs in a row for Lancashire.

  5. 100 runs

100 up for Warwickshirepublished at 15:06 BST 18 May

Warwickshire 100-1 v Glamorgan (Warwickshire require 268 more runs to win)

No such floodlight issues at Edgbaston, where they are in the process of being turned on.

While we are continuing for now, the outlook is a pretty gloomy one.

The ground-staff are poised and the sky has darkened above the Birmingham sky-line.

    Tear b Vaughan 6 (Somerset 526-8d v Sussex 253 & 95-6 f/o)

Charlie Tear drives Archie Vaughan down the ground and Alfie Ogborne runs in from mid on to prevent the run.

Tear is hit on the pad going forward to defend but the LBW is declined. Just outside the line.

Out! Bowled on the back foot.

That turns from outside off and Tear plays inside the line.

    Fynn Hudson-Prentice is in.

  7. 50 runs

for Ben Rainepublished at 15:06 BST 18 May

    Kent 523 v Durham 357-9

Ben Raine nudges Matt Milnes to mid-wicket for a couple of runs and reached his first 50 of the season off 65 balls.

Durham are 166 behind now and the follow-on worry could very soon be history.

  8. Third batting point for Durhampublished at 15:04 BST 18 May

    Kent 523 v Durham 353-9

Keith Dudgeon strays onto leg stump and Callum Parkinson flicks it away fine for four. He is 28 not out and Durham have an extra batting bonus point.

  9. Postpublished at 15:02 BST 18 May

    Somerset 526-8d v Sussex 253 & 95-5 f/o

Charlie Tear drives Jack Leach carefully to mid off, very much in survival mode.

He gets one off the fourth ball to the off side. Simpson sees out this over and 47 remain in the game.

Get Involvedpublished at 15:02 BST 18 May

The Warwickshire/Glamorgan game is a great example of why there should be a greater differential between points for a win and a draw. Glamorgan batted to ensure they don’t lose rather than pushing for a win. if they’d given the Bears a sniff this would be a great finish.

    Lancs v Worcs 124-5 - lead by 113

Matthew Waite has settled well since coming to the crease, playing a couple of nice shots into the off side.

George Balderson then gets the second delivery of his ninth over to shape in on Brett D'Oliveira and it misses the top of off by an inch or two.

A real battle between bat and ball at the moment in Southport.

  12. Postpublished at 15:00 BST 18 May

    Somerset 526-8d v Sussex 253 & 94-5 f/o

It is indeed going to be spin at both ends. Archie Vaughan is coming in to bowl.

John Simpson is forward and defends safely into a very short extra cover.

Vaughan almost breaks through with a ball that keeps low and beats the bat. Just missing off.

Simpson is forward again and edges the next ball wide of slip. No run.

    Good stop at deep third.

  13. Floodlights fail at a gloomy Tauntonpublished at 14:56 BST 18 May

    Somerset 526-8d v Sussex 253 & 94-5 f/o

Who would be an electrician here now? It looks like we're going to carry on. It is a spinner bowling at this end, which may be a factor.

No - another pause. Another umpire meeting. We are playing on.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, off spinner Archie Vaughan is warming up.

Single to Simpson playing back into the off side - his first run after facing 22 balls in this innings.

    Another umpire chat...

  14. Postpublished at 14:53 BST 18 May

    Somerset 526-8d v Sussex 253 & 93-5 f/o

John Simpson drives Jack Leach to mid off but there's no run - and the floodlights have gone off.

It's murky out there and the umpires are having a chat.

  15. Postpublished at 14:51 BST 18 May

    Hampshire 141-5 & 214 v Notts 229

    Jake Lehmann is asserting.

Two more boundaries have arrived from this Lyndon James over. He moves onto 69.

There remain 49 overs left in the day and this defiant stand by Hants is reducing the chances of Nottinghamshire emerging victorious from what has admittedly been a match heavily impacted by the weather.

  16. Postpublished at 14:51 BST 18 May

    Somerset 526-8d v Sussex 253 & 93-5 f/o

Migael Pretorius is back on at the Marcus Trescothick Pavilion End.

A bit leg side and nudged fine for four by Charlie Tear, who is subsequently beaten, defending just outside off.

  17. Postpublished at 14:49 BST 18 May

    Derbys 103-3 - target 122

They're coming in fours now. Wayne Madsen chops a ball from Toby Roland-Jones into a large gap at backward point and later in the over saunters down the pitch before driving the former England seamer straight for another boundary.

  18. wicket

    Lategan c Hurst b Coughlin 48 (Lancs v Worcs 114-5 - lead by 103)

The change of bowling works for Lancashire. Dan Lategan is furious with himself as he storms off.

The players in the pavilion may be best staying out of his way for the next few minutes.

He falls just two runs short of his half-century, edging behind on the drive to Matty Hurst who makes an excellent diving catch.

Paul Coughlin - excellent with the bat last night - strikes for Lancashire.

  19. Postpublished at 14:47 BST 18 May

    Somerset 526-8d v Sussex 253 & 89-5 f/o

Jack Leach has a slip, short leg and silly mid off in place.

    John Simpson takes guard.

He gets one ball to keep low and the ball flies off the pad from outside off for a leg bye. A muted LBW shout is turned down.

Single to Charlie Tear between the fielders at cover and cover point.

  20. Postpublished at 14:47 BST 18 May

    Derbys 95-3 - target 122

Naavya Sharma's inexperience shows as he sends down a wide half-tracker to Matt Montgomery, who cuts it away for four.
