    Middx 177 & 320 v Derbys 376

So the Derbyshire target will be 122.

    Ingram LBW b Thompson 101 (Glamorgan 228-7 & 360 v Warwickshire 252)

A terrific stand comes to an end.

The change of bowler from the Birmingham End does the trick for Warwickshire. Jordan Thompson produces a ball which moves quite late and catches Colin Ingram out. It appears to be hitting middle and leg.

Those in attendance at Edgbaston give Ingram a deserving reception as he departs and Mason Crane heads to the middle.

    Haines c Gregory b Ogborne 5 Somerset 526-8d v Sussex 253 & 22-1 f/o

Somerset and Alfie Ogborne have their first!

Loose shot from Tom Haines - who drives and edges chest high to Gregory at first slip.

Here comes Sussex number three Tom Clark.

  4. wicket

    Roland-Jones c Guest b Potts 28 (Middx 177 & 316-9 v Derbys 376)

    TRJ rather gave that away.

He went for another big drive, but lifted his head at the vital moment and edged through to the keeper.

He put on exactly 50 with Harry Duke - who is 43 not out - but the lead is just 117 as Naavya Sharma walks out at number 11.

Northants 151-5 (target 249 to beat Gloucs)

Will Williams is leg side to Nathan McSweeney and the ball runs fine off the pad for four leg byes.

That's the 150 in 46.5 overs and Northants are within 100 of the target.

Hmmm as much as I would like England's captain to play himself into a bit of form I'd also like to see his off peg rattled to try and set up a finish after yesterday's loss of play...

    Mark, Herne Bay

It's a real shame for Kent and Beckenham as an out ground in particular that they didn't have the covers right on Saturday night. We're in a tough enough spot as it is, without these problems. Poor.

    Yorkshire v Surrey 102-8 f/o - trail by 180

Sean Abbott, who was the pick of the Surrey batters in the first-innings, punches one off the back foot backward of square into the off side for four as the visitors move past three figures.

The sun is coming out at Headingley.

LBW shout from Lewis Gregory gainst Tom Haines but that's a bit high and leg side.

Closer this time and Gregory is pleading. Not out. Just missing leg?

Haines gets a single scooped to fine leg and Dan Hughes gets three with a firm drive to extra cover.

    Middx 177 & 314-8 v Derbys 376

Great shot by Toby Roland-Jones who drills the ball back past bowler Nick Potts' right boot and away past the stumps for four. The Middlesex veteran is clearly not in a running mood.

  11. rain stops play

Rain stops play at Southamptonpublished at 11:39 BST 18 May

    Hampshire 97-5 & 214 v Notts 229)

Regrettably, they are off at the Utilita Bowl.

Hampshire are currently 97-5, with Jake Lehmann still there on 36 and with Delano Potgieter at the other end.

The lead is only 82, so Nottinghamshire will hope that this delay is not too long-lasting and affects their prospects of victory today.

  12. Postpublished at 11:37 BST 18 May

Northants 146-5 (target 249 to beat Gloucs)

The Bristol pitch continues to play tricks as Craig Miles gets a ball to rise awkwardly to Nathan McSweeney, who jabs the ball down into the leg side with one hand off the bat.

He gets a single off the fifth ball and Harry Conway keeps the strike with one to deep backward square.

Don't understand Lancs declaring. There is zero chance of a win, so keep batting to get more batting points, surely? It's not like we don't need the practice!

Northants 144-5 (target 249 to beat Gloucs)

It's miraculous we're playing given the grim local forecast.

Harry Conway sees out the remainder of that disrupted over and Nathan McSweeney will now take guard - facing Craig Miles from the Ashley Down Road End.

News of Luke Charlesworth is replacing Gabe Bell in this game.

We're not sure about the injury just yet.

    Clark b White 3 (Yorkshire v Surrey 95-8 f/o - trail by 187)

Just too good! Yorkshire are closing in on victory now. Bowled all ends up.

This one goes past the outside edge of Jordan Clark and knocks over his off stump. Great line and length from Jack White once more.

He has 3-24. Yorkshire need just two more now, they've already got three in the first half hour.

Ex-Yorkshire man Matthew Fisher walks to the crease for Surrey.

  17. 100 runs

100 for Colin Ingrampublished at 11:33 BST 18 May

    Glamorgan 217-6 & 360 v Warwickshire 252

A century for Colin Ingram - and a seismic contribution to his side's efforts in this match.

Sat on 99, having played two scoring shots earlier in the over, he dabs Olly Hannon-Dalby into the on-side for a single to bring up his ton.

Coming to the crease at 13-3 yesterday, Ingram was tasked with stabilising the innings and helping Glammy up to a defendable total - they will not feel as though they are quite there yet, but this has been some hand by an experienced head.

  18. Play starts at Southport as Lancashire declarepublished at 11:32 BST 18 May

    Lancs 281-8 dec v Worcs 270 & 0-0

The sun has arrived and we are eventually under way on day four at Southport.

Lancashire have decided to declare in the intermission so we will see James Anderson bowling again this morning for the Red Rose.

  19. Final day chase begins at Bristolpublished at 11:31 BST 18 May

Northants 144-5 (target 249 to beat Gloucs)

We're four balls into the Will Williams over after bad light halted play last night.

He'll bowl to night watcher Harry Conway, who began his innings late last night after James Sales was dismissed.

Or is that Night Hawk these days? He's one not out anyway.

Nathan McSweeney is at the non-striker's end on 41.

Width from Lewis Gregory and Dan Hughes leaves outside off.

Gregory is bowling round the wicket to the Aussie left-hander.

A play and miss - and plenty of encouragement for the hosts.
