That skidded low. Another seam up delivery, just angles in towards Paul Stirling and it's a dropped catch behind the sticks.

  2. Missed stumpingpublished at 1.5 overs

Maheesh Theekshana deceives Paul Stirling but wicketkeeper Dasun Shanaka fails to collect and misses out on a stumping.

Let's just say they only get 35, they can't be two wickets down. Someone in that top five has to score runs. Someone has to get fifty.

To get close, it feels like Ireland need to have a 50-run powerplay - that would be helpful.

  5. Ire 5-0published at 1 over

Dushmantha Chameera almost gets a quick wicket as the ball just misses the stumps after a Paul Stirling play and miss.

Ross Adair hits a boundary from the final ball.

It's not a mountain to climb here for Ireland. The last five overs seems an absolute disaster and it was. But on reflection, they're not chasing a million.

The action is set to resume - here come Irish openers Paul Stirlng and Ross Adair.

It should have been so much less. Ireland will be bitterly disappointed with how they've closed that innings out. After 14 overs, they were well and truly on top of the game.

To put it in context, if you'd have said to them you're chasing 164 to win against Sri Lanka, they'd have bitten your hand off. But they should have been chasing a lot less.

That over from Humphreys, three dropped catches, completely changed the momentum of the game for Sri Lanka and they capitalised on the mistakes.

Ireland will be feeling flat but they've got to back themselves. They're only chasing 164.

Sri Lanka have somehow made it to 163-6. I don't think it's a decisive total but it could've been so much less.

Sri Lanka complete their innings and after a slow start they have set Ireland a competitive target to chase.

Kusal Mendis brings up his half-century. It started pretty slowly but in the last few overs, he's started to get going. Sri Lanka - I don't know how - are 158-6.

Adair drops a tough return catch. It was thrashed back at him. He did well to get a hand to it.

Kusal Menis brings up his half-century before seeing his shot dropped by bowler Mark Adair - a tough chance for the paceman.

Two wickets but that was a costly over from Barry McCarthy, conceding 19 runs.

Two in two for Barry McCarthy. Shanaka goes first ball.

But it's being checked. The umpires are in conflab. Shanaka has gone nowhere.

If this is out, McCarthy is going to be on one of the most unlikely World Cup hat-tricks.

After an umpire review Dasan Shanaka is given out - they were checking is Barry McCarthy's delivery was too high.

Mark Adair takes the catch and McCarthy is on a hat-trick.

The way it was going, you thought that one might just have gone over Dockrell's head but he could stand still and take the catch.

Ireland might just be able to slow things down now Shanaka has come to the middle. Keep the new batter on strike, surely.

Driven down the ground and into the hands of George Dockrell, who takes the catch with a sigh of relief.

This partnership has swung the game if not decisively in Sri Lanka's favour, it's put them in the box seat.
