England are absolutely making this ball talk. He got this one to nip back up the hill.

Latham called for the review straight away but he was nowhere near it.

  2. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 6.3 overs

    Latham lbw b Atkinson 3 (NZ 12-4)

    Nope, three reds!

Wow, that has done a lot. Atkinson angles the ball in at Tom Latham's stumps and it nips sharply to trap him in front.

    All of a sudden, England's 140 looks like a match-winning effort.

    Gus Atkinson joins the party!

It's another lbw given out on the field, will it be another umpire's call?!

If you're just joining us, the score is not a typo.

Ollie Robinson has caused havoc at Lord's this evening.

Former England spinner on Test Match Special

Ollie Robinson is looking quite relaxed. He's not rushing. He's got a terrific rhythm, the length is almost identical. He's getting that little bit of movement one way or the other.

  6. NZ 10-3published at 6 overs

Ollie Robinson has conceded a run, but even that almost brings a wicket.

Tom Latham is way out of his ground after a risky single, but Ben Stokes' throw from point is wide. He was gone with a direct hit.

  7. NZ 8-3published at 5 overs

Meanwhile, Gus Atkinson has been criminally expensive from the other end with 0-7 from his three overs.

Since 2018, there have been only three instances of a bowler taking three or more wickets in their first over of an innings in Tests:

    • 3 - Scott Boland vs West Indies, 2022
    • 3 - Mitchell Starc vs West Indies, 2025
    • 3 - Ollie Robinson vs New Zealand, 2026 (today)

    A maiden.

Ollie Robinson has figures of 3-0. Ridiculous.

  11. NZ 5-3published at 3.1 overs

Ah! Wide of the off stump and safely left alone by Tom Latham.

  12. Postpublished at 17:53 BST 4 June

    Ha.

Daryl Mitchell had his gloves off and was ready to scamper, but the umpires are happy to play on.

    As you were.

    No, no, no.

Not the light meter. Not now, umps.

Here comes Ollie Robinson's hat-trick ball...

  15. NZ 5-3published at 3 overs

    No wickets in the over.

    Boring.

Two years out of the side. Three wickets in six balls.

What a comeback for Ollie Robinson.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2 overs

    Ravindra lbw b Robinson 0 (NZ 2-3)

    Remarkable.

Full, straight and Rachin Ravindra plays all around a swinging delivery as the replay shows it's umpire's call again, clipping leg stump.

Ollie Robinson's first over reads dot, dot, wicket, dot, wicket, wicket. He'll be on a hat-trick at the start of the next over.

How's that for a return?! Robinson takes three wickets in first over in two years

  18. NZ reviewpublished at 2 overs

What on earth am I seeing?!

Ollie Robinson as two in two balls and three in the over!

Rachin Ravindra is given out lbw... but he reviews.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 1.5 overs

    Williamson c Gay b Robinson 0 (NZ 2-2)

    Two-day Test, anyone?!

Brilliant captaincy from Ben Stokes, who moved Emilio Gay to short leg after just two balls of Robinson's spell which had popped up sharply.

Kane Williamson falls into the trap, prodding forward and edging straight to him.

My word, what a comeback from Robinson.
