50 for Joe Clarkepublished at 13:39 BST 11 May

Joe Clarke's remarkable start to the season continues in the first over after lunch - he's now passed 50 in each of his last six innings.

The Notts player gets there from 80 balls - and you wouldn't bet against him turning this into two hundreds in the match.

  2. Yorkshire suffer second heaviest ever defeat by runspublished at 13:19 BST 11 May

Warwickshire beat Yorkshire by 377 runs

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

Warwickshire have completely and utterly dominated things since the start of the second innings.

That poor hour with the ball for Yorkshire getting them ahead and it’s a grip that they have squeezed ever more tightly between then and 12:51 on the final day.

A week after knocking table toppers Somerset off their perch, Yorkshire have suffered their second heaviest ever defeat by runs in the history of the club - 377 - only outshone, or however you would put that, by the 433 they lost by against Kent at Headingley in 2019.

    There’s a bit to do.

  4. 'This is now Glamorgan's game to lose'published at 13:14 BST 11 May

    Glamorgan 229 & 202-5 v Somerset 354 & 157

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

A deeply frustrating morning for Somerset, the low point in which came when umpire Paul Pollard raised his right hand in response to a vociferous LBW appeal from Craig Overton, only to use it to adjust his hat.

That, it turned out, was the nearest that Somerset would come to a wicket as Sean Dickson and Ryan Hadley slowly but surely extended their partnership to a potentially decisive 68.

Yes, they played and missed a few times, but they also batted with great patience and resolve against an attack that was steady, but never really inspired. This is now Glamorgan's game to lose.

  5. 'Sussex anxiously hoping the weather holds'published at 13:12 BST 11 May

    Sussex 430 & 8-1 v Leics 328 & 227

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Radio Sussex

An eventful morning at Hove with seven wickets falling and Sussex needing 118 runs after lunch to win their third match of the season

However with rain forecast and the floodlights on Sussex will be anxiously hoping the weather holds for long enough this afternoon.

Ben Cox provided the late order resistance for Leicestershire helping to add an important 57 runs for the last two wickets, and then Tom Helm dismissed first innings centurion Daniel Hughes first ball to give the Foxes some hope going into the afternoon session.

  6. Glamorgan fighting backpublished at 13:11 BST 11 May

    Glamorgan 229 & 202-5 v Somerset 354 & 157

    Commentator on BBC Radio Wales

Glamorgan’s cricketers are fighting back on the last day of their Division 1 County Championship match against Somerset at Sophia Gardens.

At lunch the home side are 202-5 in pursuit of 283 to win. The home side added to their overnight tally thanks largely to former Somerset batter Sean Dickson who’s unbeaten on 46

Supported by a determined defensive effort by nightwatchman the Australian Ryan Hadley who’s still there on 18 from 126 balls.

What looked an unlikely probability at the start of the fourth day, Glamorgan require a further 81 runs to register what would be their first ever home win in Division One

  7. Scores at lunch on day fourpublished at 13:07 BST 11 May

    Division One:

    • Cardiff: Glamorgan 229 & 202-5 v Somerset 354 & 157
    • Nottingham: Notts 415 & 219-2 v Surrey 449
    • Hove: Sussex 430 & 8-1 v Leics 328 & 227
    • Edgbaston: Warwickshire 147 & 553-6 dec v Yorkshire 152 & 171 - Warwickshire win by 377 runs

    Division Two:

    • Derby: Derbyshire 604-7 dec v Northants 228 & 140-5
    • Bristol: Gloucestershire 325 & 262 v Kent 327 & 64-2
  8. Lunch at Hovepublished at 13:06 BST 11 May

    Sussex 8-1 (Target: 126)

Dan Hughes is still fizzing about that dismissal but it is the last piece of action as the players troop off for lunch.

In the grand scheme of things it is a minor setback with just 126 needed for the win but try telling that to an opening batsman.

His 136 in the first innings has been joined by a duck in the second but on balance Hughes can hold his head high.

The Foxes will need a flurry of wicket to fall after lunch if they are to given themselves hope but that is a decent start.

  9. 'A resounding victory for the home side'published at 13:05 BST 11 May

    Warks 147 & 553-6 dec v Yorks 152 & 171

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

Warwickshire have won this match. Jordan Thompson with his fifth wicket rounds things off for a second successive home win that will keep them nicely in the top half of the table.

A game that turned after a day one dominated by Yorkshire but turned out to be a resounding victory for the home side. A really useful victory for Warwickshire.

  10. Lunch at Derbypublished at 13:05 BST 11 May

    Derbys 604-7d v Northants 228 & 140-5

    A good morning for Derbyshire.

Three wickets have fallen, including first-innings centurion Calvin Harrison when well set.

What resistance have Northants got this afternoon?

  11. Lunch at Cardiffpublished at 13:03 BST 11 May

    Glam 202-5 target 283 v Somerset

Glamorgan couldn’t have asked for much more from this session.

They started the day needing another 143 more to win.

Sean Dickson - against his old county - and Ryan Hadley have battled though the morning to bring the requirement down to 81.

Runs have been hard to come by but steady progress has put Glamorgan in the driving seat to get up for victory.

Dickson takes lunch 46 not out with Hadley on 18

  12. Lunch at Trent Bridgepublished at 13:01 BST 11 May

    Notts 415 & 219-2 v Surrey 449

Although Nottinghamshire lost only one wicket in the morning session, there have been some testing moments for the batters.

Ben Duckett had to receive treatment after a ball from Sean Abbott spat up off the surface and whacked him on the hand and he's played a few deliveries a little gingerly since then.

Overall though, Duckett has batted extremely well for his 92 not out - as has the County Championship's leading run-scorer Joe Clarke, who goes to lunch one short of another half-century.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:01 BST 11 May

    Hughes c Cox b Helm 0 (Sussex 8-1 Target: 126)

Dan Hughes is not happy with that but Leics have a breakthrough on the stroke of lunch.

Tom Helm angles this back in to the batsman and it goes through the gap between bat and hip to Ben Cox behind the stumps.

There is a big appeal and the finger goes up but Hughes clearly thinks that has flicked a bit of trouser or hip rather than bat or glove.

Either way it is a wicket for the Foxes.

  14. Lunch at Bristolpublished at 13:00 BST 11 May

    Kent 64-2 (Target: 261)

Bad light and a bit of rain has brought proceedings to an early lunch at Bristol with Kent requiring another 197 runs for the win.

  15. Postpublished at 12:58 BST 11 May

    Sussex 4-0 (Target: 126)

Ian Holland has the ball in hand for the Foxes and Tom Clark in his sights.

First innings centurion Dan Hughes jigging about and performing some stretches at the non-striker's end.

The third ball is despatched to the cover boundary and the chase is under way.

  16. Postpublished at 12:52 BST 11 May

    Glam 193-5 - target 283 v Somerset

Somerset have the second new ball.

But it can often work in the batsman’s favour too.

And the target quickly comes down into double figures.

    90 to win.

    Warks 147 & 553-6 dec v Yorks 152 & 171

Ex-Yorkshire player Jordan Thompson finishes them off to seal a resounding Warwickshire win!

Thompson's first ball of the morning is dabbed behind by Jack White and it's all over as the Bears wrap up their second win of the campaign.

For Yorkshire, it's the second largest County Championship defeat in their history, in terms of runs.

  18. Postpublished at 12:51 BST 11 May

    Warks v Yorks 171-9 (target 549)

The cause may be lost, but Dom Bess isn't going quietly.

He's just pulled Beau Webster for six - the second of his innings - and follows it up by spearing the Australian seamer through the covers for four more.

Bess is 39 not out now - and only three away from being the top scorer in this Yorkshire second innings.

  19. wicket

LEICS 227 ALL OUTpublished at 12:49 BST 11 May

Helm c Simpson b Robinson 10 (Sussex require 126 to win)

The new ball does the trick in the hands of Ollie Robinson as Tom Helm edges a rising delivery into the hands of John Simpson behind the stumps.

The target is 126 and that should be no bother for Sussex as they look to post a third win of this campaign.

Robinson (3-46) and Fynn Hudson-Prentice (3-37) did the bulk of the heavy lifting in an innings in which Leics failed to string together enough partnerships of note.

Wouldn’t Jordan Thompson would love to finish this off. He’s probably been nagging away at Ed Barnard for a while now.
