  1. Glamorgan need 21published at 15:23 BST 11 May

    Glam 262-7 - target 283 v Somerset

Having been cruising along, there’s now real tension at Cardiff as Glamorgan look to get up.

But what a help this is - Migael Pretorius bangs one in and Ryan Hadley nails the pull up and over deep-backward square and all the way for six!

    21 more.

  2. dropped catch

McSweeney dropped on 62published at 15:20 BST 11 May

    Derbys 604-7d v Northants 228 & 205-6 (trail by 171 runs)

It seems harsh to even call this a drop given it is fired to short leg Matt Montgomery who had precious little time to react.

But, this is professional sport and Nathan McSweeney, could have been on his way had it stuck.

Ben Aitchison was the luckless bowler.

Derbyshire pile on a load of runs then toil trying to take the wickets needed to win. Not for the first time this season.

    Bell-Drummond b Bell 38 (Kent 146-4 - target 261)

Gabe Bell returns to the attack - and delivers exactly what Gloucestershire needed!

Bell's third ball shoots through the defences of Daniel Bell-Drummond and smashes into middle and leg stump - and Kent are four down, needing another 115.

Chris Benjamin is out there to try and help Tawanda Muyeye get them.

Back-to-back boundaries by Daniel Bell-Drummond off Matt Taylor and you feel this is starting to tilt in Kent's direction.

Bell-Drummond posted his first hundred of the campaign in Kent's win against Derbyshire and at the moment he's looking a good bet to make another vital contribution on 38 not out.

Kent need another 121 for victory.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:10 BST 11 May

    Cooke lbw Pretorius 5 (Glam 255-7 - target 283 v Somerset)

    Ooo, errr, Glamorgan!

    Somerset have another.

And it’s another nip-backer that’s done the job as Migael Pretorius crashes one into Chris Cooke’s front pad and he’s plumb.

Some late hope for Somerset with 27 still to defend.

  7. 50 runs

for Nathan McSweeneypublished at 15:08 BST 11 May

    Derbys 604-7d v Northants 228 & 195-6

A much better period for Northants with the seventh wicket having stuck around for 21 overs now.

Nathan McSweeney is fighting hardest and gets to his half-century in 130 balls.

But was he dropped? A thick edge flies very close to the outstretched right hand of second slip. Very hard to tell if it carried. Think it may just have done.

A new cherry now in use for Derbyshire.

Some frustration at this stand but another 45 overs available to take these last four wickets.

  8. 250 runs

up for Glamorganpublished at 15:04 BST 11 May

    Glam 254-6 - target 283 v Somerset

Chris Cooke has joined Ryan Hadley to try and get the hosts over the line.

Offered some width, he crashes Migael Pretorius for four to bring the 250 up.

    29 more needed.

  9. 'Deserved applause for Dickson'published at 15:01 BST 11 May

    Glam 248-6 - target 283 v Somerset

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

It’s taken a long time to come along and Overton has earned that but deserved applause for Sean Dickson for what may very well turn out to be a match-winning innings and partnership.

What a valuable acquisition he has proved.

  10. Postpublished at 15:00 BST 11 May

    Glos v Kent 127-3 (target 261)

Kent are almost halfway to their target now thanks to this fourth-wicket pair - Tawanda Muyeye and Daniel Bell-Drummond have added 63 so far.

Muyeye, who went big in the first innings, is leading the way on 66 not out and Bell-Drummond has 28. Gloucestershire need to split this pair as soon as possible.

  11. rain stops play

Rain stops playpublished at 14:59 BST 11 May

Sussex 42-1 (need 89 runs to win)

    Hove

Rain has returned to Hove.... and this time with feeling.

This is significantly heavier than the bit of drizzle that forced them from the pitch before and it is a worry for the hosts as they chase this win.

Just two overs and one ball were sent down since they came back on during which Sussex added 26.

This looks like a lengthy delay.

  12. Is there a late twist in the tale at Cardiff?published at 14:58 BST 11 May

    Glam 248-6 - target 283 v Somerset

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Dickson finally goes for 76 and Overton has the breakthrough.

Is there a late twist left in the tale of this match?

    The story is not over.

  13. Postpublished at 14:57 BST 11 May

    Sussex 42-1 (Target: 131)

Technically, Tom Clark has been dropped again! This time on 25 by Ben Cox off the bowling of Tom Helm.

The umpire has given runs after he attempts to flick that off his hips and it has beaten the gloves of Ben Cox diving to leg side behind the stumps.

But while there is no doubt about the first two (on 9 and 11), he looked nowhere near that with his bat.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:57 BST 11 May

    Dickson lbw Overton 76 (Glam 248-6 - target 283 v Somerset)

    Finally Somerset strike!

Sean Dickson can’t complete the job against his old county as he’s trapped by Craig Overton.

A nip-backer hits him in line with middle and leg - was it going on to take a piece of leg stump?

Very much a case of The Devil You Know for the visitors as their old teammate has played superbly to take his new side to the cusp of victory.

    But still 35 needed.

Talk about Glamorgan grinding their way to victory - Hadley has faced 165 dot balls out of 180

    Hugh, Shipley

  16. Postpublished at 14:53 BST 11 May

    Sussex 37-1 (Target: 131)

Tom Clark rode his luck at the start of that over from Ian Holland when he was dropped in the slips by Rishi Patel.

But he has made no mistake with a well struck four clipped through midwicket and a six over widish long on to finish the over.

The Sussex batsmen have one eye on the ball and another on the dark clouds which are hovering around Hove.

  17. Glamorgan need 36published at 14:51 BST 11 May

    Glam 247-5 - target 283 v Somerset

We’ve had 25 overs of the second new ball now and still no joy for Somerset.

It may be Somerset Day but this is surely beyond them now.

Four leg byes as Craig Overton is too straight and the target is into the 30s.

  18. dropped catch

Clark dropped on 11published at 14:50 BST 11 May

    Sussex 24-1 (Target: 131)

Another drop and Tom Clark (11) has been put down by Rishi Patel at first slip again.

He was spilled on nine before the rain break off Tom Helm and now he has got two hands to an edge off Ian Holland's bowling but failed to hang on.

To compound matters it has gone for four.

  19. Back under way at Hovepublished at 14:48 BST 11 May

    Sussex 20-1 (Target: 131)

The rain has gone, the covers are packed away and the run chase is back on for Sussex.

The outfield is a bit wet which will slow things down but there is little doubt that the hosts need to get a move on with bits of weather circling.

Tom Clark (11) and Danial Ibrahim (7) are the not out batters.

  20. 50 runs

50 partnership for Duckett and Haynespublished at 14:46 BST 11 May

    Notts 415 & 289-3 v Surrey 449

Jack Haynes drives Jordan Clark to the fence to bring up the 50 partnership with Ben Duckett as Nottinghamshire continue to accumulate second-innings runs.

Haynes is 25 not out, with Duckett on 127.
