WICKETpublished at 16:07 BST 11 May

van der Gugten lbw Overton 6 (Glam 270-8 - target 283 v Somerset)

Migael Pretorius opens up with a maiden.

Can Somerset pray on Glamorgan nerves, even when they’re so close?

Craig Overton at the other end and Ryan Hadley nudges a single.

Every run being loudly cheered at Sophia Gardens.

But then Overton goes very full, beats Tim van der Gugten for pace and he’s trapped bang in front of all three!

  2. Update at Hovepublished at 16:04 BST 11 May

    Sussex 42-1 (Target: 131)

There will be a further delay to the restart at Hove due to "ground conditions" ie. a wet outfield.

Restart is now scheduled for 16:15 with a minimum 33.1 overs remaining.

  3. No play yet at Hovepublished at 16:02 BST 11 May

    Sussex 42-1 (Target: 131)

It is still showing as a restart at 4pm at Hove but that looks on the optimistic side (if not impossible) given there are still light covers (tarpaulin) on the strip.

At least it has stopped raining and there is some movement in the middle from ground staff.

  4. Glamorgan need 14published at 16:01 BST 11 May

    Glam 269-7 - target 283 v Somerset

    Back we come at Cardiff.

If they needed only two more wickets, you could give Somerset a squeak.

But surely three is beyond them and Glamorgan can scrape these remaining 14 runs.

    You never know…

  5. Postpublished at 16:01 BST 11 May

    Glos v Kent 173-4 (target 261)

All set for the final act...

Kent need another 88 runs, Gloucestershire need six wickets. The draw looks unlikely!

  6. 'Very disappointing' from Yorkshire says McGrathpublished at 16:00 BST 11 May

Warwickshire beat Yorkshire by 377 runs

Yorkshire head coach Anthony McGrath was understandably downcast after what was the second heaviest defeat by runs in the club's history.

“Very disappointing. It goes without saying. Day one, I thought we backed up the Somerset result really well. We were in control of the game, obviously, at 110-4. But, from that first wicket on the Saturday morning, we've been third best by a long way.

“I’ve not really got much more to say other than it’s very disappointing," he said.

McGrath added: “With the bat and ball, particularly with the ball in that second innings, we were comprehensively beaten.

“Credit to Warwickshire, they fought back by time and then again. They showed us how to bowl on that pitch. They never missed their lengths, and there was enough in that pitch throughout.”

  7. 'Bears growing in confidence and belief'published at 15:45 BST 11 May

Warwickshire beat Yorkshire by 377 runs

Warwickshire head coach Ian Westwood said the Bears are growing in confidence and belief after their big win over Yorkshire earlier today.

Victory represented a major turnaround from day one when the visitors had the better of it but the hosts took the game by the scruff of the neck at the start of their second innings and never looked back.

"We were put in under really challenging conditions but we knew that if we bowled well they would find it equally tough and we did that. Then to come back as strongly as we did and effectively bat them out of the game was really impressive," Westwood said.

The Bears coach made a special mention for Sam Hain after he scored a half-century in the first innings and an unbeaten 164 in the second.

"It was a standout match for Sam Hain. His half-century in the first innings was worth a lot more and then to bat through for 160 not out was an incredible effort from him.

"We're not looking too far ahead but the group is growing in confidence and belief and that is coming from the performances and the positions we have found ourselves in at times," added Westwood.

  8. Tea at Derbypublished at 15:45 BST 11 May

    Derbys 604-7d v Northants 228 & 214-7 (trail by 162 runs)

Northants reach another staging point on route to a draw.

They remain long shots to salvage something from this at seven down and a final session to negotiate but they have given themselves hope.

Back in 20 to see whether they can eke out an extra eight points or whether Derbys can take the 16 for the win.

  10. Tea at Cardiffpublished at 15:43 BST 11 May

    Glam 269-7 - target 283 v Somerset

You’d have got long odds on this game reaching the final session this morning.

Glamorgan needed 143 more to win at the start of the day.

But it’s been painstaking progress and we’ll take tea to prepare for the final act.

In the final over of the session, a low full toss from Jake Ball was driven down the ground by Tim van der Gugten and beat mid-on for four!

Just 14 more needed after tea.

Glamorgan are so close and still have Ryan Hadley there on 39 from 214 deliveries.

Earlier, Sean Dickson eventually fell for 76 after guiding his side for most of the day. Chris Cooke the other wicket to fall today for 5.

  11. Tea at Bristolpublished at 15:43 BST 11 May

    Glos v Kent 173-4 (target 261)

Kent need another 88 for victory in the final session, with Tawanda Muyeye holding the key on 86 not out.

Chris Benjamin has 16 - and there are a possible 38 overs to be bowled. Gloucestershire need quick wickets when we resume...

Van der Gugten seized on it and it put it away for four. You can sense the relief amongst many because that has been a while coming.

  13. Postpublished at 15:40 BST 11 May

    Derbys 604-7d v Northants 228 & 208-7 (trail by 168 runs)

Three minutes to tea so one last over to sneak in as Derbys look to get Northants eight down.

Shoaib Bashir has the ball in hand and there are five men around the bat.

  14. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 15:38 BST 11 May

    Notts 415 & 353-3 v Surrey 449

They started the afternoon session early - and they've finished it early as well. So somebody's watch is fast, but it's unlikely to make any difference to the eventual outcome of this match.

Nottinghamshire lead by 319, with Ben Duckett 165 not out and Jack Haynes alongside him on 51.

Jack Haynes cuts Dom Sibley - yes, we're at that stage of proceedings now - for a single that takes him to 50 for the second time in the match.

Surrey didn't bother with the option of the second new ball and we can probably expect to see Rory Burns turning his arm over after tea as well.

  16. Glamorgan need 19published at 15:31 BST 11 May

    Glam 264-7 - target 283 v Somerset

A maiden from Jake Ball then a couple of singles at the start of the next over from Migael Pretorius and Glamorgan are into the teens.

  17. Postpublished at 15:30 BST 11 May

    Glos v Kent 161-4 (target 261)

The departure of Daniel Bell-Drummond certainly hasn't stemmed the flow of Kent runs, with Chris Benjamin making a positive start to his innings.

Benjamin has 13 from 12 balls, with Tawanda Muyeye on 77 at the other end and the target is down to exactly 100.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:27 BST 11 May

    McSweeney c Guest b Chappell 62 (Northants 205-7, trailing by 171 runs)

Zac Chappell replaces Ben Aitchison and Derbys have an immediate breakthrough (or second ball) as Nathan McSweeney feathers one down the leg side.

It is the second time in the match McSweeney goes strangled down leg and it has given Derbys a huge boost in the field after they were in danger of going a bit flat.

  20. 150 runs

150 for Ben Duckettpublished at 15:25 BST 11 May

    Notts 415 & 334-3 v Surrey 449

It may not be the most pressurised match situation Ben Duckett's ever batted in, but you still have to take your hat off to a 150.

The Nottinghamshire left-hander gets there from 252 balls, having almost played on to Dan Lawrence earlier in the over.

Duckett might be wondering whether there's time left in this game for him to have a dart at 200, because it's a safe bet we'll have an hour or less after tea.
