That's absolutely plumb so Shubman Gill did the right thing by saying, you're going to have to go mate.

    Two BIG wickets for England!

Virat Kohli gloves a pull down to fine leg for four but is trudging back to the pavilion next ball after being pinned in front.

Full and dead-eye straight from Jofra Archer and Kohli attempts to work the England to quick to leg but collapses over himself and is hit plumb in front.

Kohli ponders a review - hoping for an inside edge - before being told by India captain Shubman Gill to be on his way.

Virat Kohli is mortal at the start of his innings, so it makes sense that Harry Brook has his best bowler facing him.

This is testing for Harry Brook. He hasn't got many runs to play with so he can't spread to field.

  9. Ind 44-1published at 8 overs

There was a bit of a step down the pitch from Rohit Sharma and he possibly played down the wrong line to Sam Curran.

Virat Kohli is the new batter for India. and he defends his first two balls before working the England left-arm seamer through mid-wicket for a single to keep the strike.

Rohit Sharma completely mistimed the stroke. He looks furious there, he's rather given his wicket away.

    Not his most fluent innings.

Rohit Sharma aims to hit Sam Curran over the top but completely mistimes it.

The India opener ends up chipping into the hands of Harry Brook at mid-off.

A bit of a soft dismissal in truth. England will not mind a jot.

  12. Ind 43-0published at 7.2 overs

    Change of bowling.

Sam Curran tossed the ball by Harry Brook. Rohit Sharma defends his first two deliveries.

Can Curran's variations get the breakthrough for England?

English fans once again showing the world that they are the most miserable bunch going. One bad batting performance following a 4-0 series victory full of great batting and the toys are out the pram again.

    That is vintage Rohit Sharma.

  15. Ind 43-0published at 7 overs

    Classic Rohit Sharma.

The experienced opener plays that classical one foot in the air whip of his square for four off Jofra Archer.

Rohit and Shubman Gill work Archer into the gaps for plenty of twos.

Ominous signs for England. How long until Harry Brook turns to spin?

  16. How's stat?!published at 15:39 BST 14 July

Since Joe Root was recalled to England's ODI team last year, only New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell has scored more runs.

Unfortunately for England, India's top three are also on the list.

    Thumped!

Shubman Gill hangs in his crease and jabs Josh Tongue through the covers for four. Impeccable strokeplay from the India skipper.

    Ind 28-0published at 5.1 overs

Short down the leg side from Josh Tongue and Shubman Gill picks up the length and pulls it with aplomb over the fence behind deep square for six.

Superb timing from the India Skipper.
