This game is on in a way that perhaps people wouldn't have expected.

India were in cruise control but those two wickets have made it a very different game for India. Shubman Gill will prove to eb a very important wicket for England.

  2. Ind 70-2published at 13 overs

Harry Brook has his hands on his head.

A waft from Shreyas Iyer to a delivery back of a length from Josh Tongue leaves the England captain cursing his luck.

Final ball of the over and Shreyas drives Tongue on the up towards point but it just skids into the turf just before it is stopped by Will Jacks.

Comedic Indian batting. Pathetic, coach needs to go. Captain Gill is useless. Total joke. Can English fans see how silly it is to react like this when things don’t go totally your way….?????

Take note grumpy England fans: Sharma out for 11, Kohli out for 5... cricket is hard. Every dismissal isn't necessarily a sign of players who cannot bat.

These two are sounding in good touch. The noise it makes when it comes off their bats is arousing.

The ball is doing a bit for these seamers. I think England didn't expect it to do this much.

It's going to be an interesting challenge for Harry Brook. He's going to have to bowl a minimum of 20 overs of spin.

  11. Ind 56-2published at 10 overs

Another tight-ish over from Sam Curran with just a three singles plus a wide.

That's absolutely plumb so Shubman Gill did the right thing by saying, you're going to have to go mate.

    Two BIG wickets for England!

Virat Kohli gloves a pull down to fine leg for four but is trudging back to the pavilion next ball after being pinned in front.

Full and dead-eye straight from Jofra Archer and Kohli attempts to work the England to quick to leg but collapses over himself and is hit plumb in front.

Kohli ponders a review - hoping for an inside edge - before being told by India captain Shubman Gill to be on his way.

Virat Kohli is mortal at the start of his innings, so it makes sense that Harry Brook has his best bowler facing him.

This is testing for Harry Brook. He hasn't got many runs to play with so he can't spread to field.

  19. Ind 44-1published at 8 overs

There was a bit of a step down the pitch from Rohit Sharma and he possibly played down the wrong line to Sam Curran.

Virat Kohli is the new batter for India. and he defends his first two balls before working the England left-arm seamer through mid-wicket for a single to keep the strike.

Rohit Sharma completely mistimed the stroke. He looks furious there, he's rather given his wicket away.

    Not his most fluent innings.
