Will Jacks didn't time that one at all, but it has comfortably gone over the ropes. He is so dangerous hitting at this stage.

Grant Stewart will bowl the final over and Will Jacks piles the pressure on the Italy bowler instantly as he brings up a six over mid-wicket.

The other concern for England, apart from brainless batting, is that the Mosca brothers have shown they are capable of hitting boundaries with ease on pitches like these, so a total of 180-200 is not beyond Italy.

The pressure really showed for Ali Hasan during that over.

The Italy seamer sprays three wide deliveries to drag this into a long and scrappy over which went for 13 runs.

England go into the final over with the score at 180-6.

I would describe that as clubbed. Jamie Overton has clubbed that. It is not elegant, and it is not graceful.

  6. 6 runs

    A maximum from Jamie Overton.

It sits up nicely for Overton from Ali Hasan and he swings his bat at it for a huge six over cow corner.

Will Jacks is putting England into a good position in this game. I think the 200 total is on.

  8. Eng 174-6published at 18 overs

Grant Stewart's goes for 14 runs as Will Jacks hammers him to the boundary wide of long-off to finish the over.

England inching towards that 200-run mark now, with two overs to come.

Grant Stewart can count himself unlucky. He knows Jamie Overton wants the ball in and around the leg stump.

It was an almost perfect yorker, and Overton with a thick outside edge.

That wicket came at an opportune moment for Italy but Jamie Overton can absolutely leather a cricket ball.

He's not in control here as a thick outside edge runs away for four over the head of fielder at short third.

The average turn of 1.4° for spinners so far in this game is the second lowest for any match so far at this T20 World Cup, behind only India vs Namibia in Delhi (1.3°). With little turn on offer and a minimum of eight overs of spin to bowl, England will want plenty of runs on the board.

I don't blame Sam Curran too much there. It was there to be bashed and he bashed it. Just unlucky to hit the fielder this time.

Sam Curran slapped that really hard. It was quick, short and wide outside the off stump. Curran timed it nicely, but the fielder, Jon-Jon Smuts, takes a nice catch.

    Curran c Smuts b Kalugamage 25 (Eng 159-6)

Crishan Kalugamage was going for an expensive over with Sam Curran hitting him for six twice.

But the Italy leg-spinner gets his revenge.

Curran picks out JJ Smuts at cover to return to the dugout but only after putting on a handy stand with Will Jacks.

Ben Manenti was visibly frustrated with the misfield at deep cover on the fourth ball and he never regained his composure.

A swing in the momentum here finally?

Will Jacks with some ruthless hitting to dampen the spirts of Italy and Ben Manenti, who goes for 16 runs off his final three deliveries.

First, Jacks is gifted a boundary through some poor work on the rope, then he hoicks two sixes over deep mid-wicket to further infuriate an already livid Manenti.

All Will Jacks has to do is get a little bottom edge on it and he will be grateful for those four runs.

A realistic total, 10 an over, gets you to 175. That will be a minimum if England want to put Italy under pressure.
