    Leics 241-9 f/o lead by 59 runs

Lyndon James finds the edge of Josh Hull's bat but it falls short of Ben Duckett at second slip.

The new ball is available to Notts but they are not taking it just yet and it is Liam Patterson-White to continue to Ben Green.

    Middlesex 430 & 1-0 v Durham 567

Josh De Caires and Sam Robson open up Middlesex's second innings.

Can they see off the new ball despite excellent bowling conditions at Lord's?

Somerset 10-1 (need 250 more runs to beat Yorks)

New Somerset batter Tom Lammonby is coming into this innings off the back of scores of 5, 9, 14, 2, 69 and 3.

He's close to edging behind on 1 here, with Jack White narrowly beating an indeterminate prod.

    Leics 308 & 240-9 f/o (lead by 58 runs) v Notts 490

Josh Hull did well to stick with Stephen Eskinazi in the first innings (making 7 from 42 balls) and looks a little better than a traditional fast bowling No 11.

He has a top score of 35* which you would think he needs to better if Leics are to stand any sort of chance. Ben Green's PB in first class cricket is 77.

    Andersson b Evison 15 (Kent v Derbys 40-5, target 384)

This could be over before lunch.

Joey Evison gets one through Martin Andersson and Derbyshire are five down.

Kent are strolling to a first win in Division Two this season.

Vaughan b Hill 4 (Somerset 9-1, need 251 more runs to beat Yorks)

First wicket for Yorkshire! George Hill with a cracking delivery that clips the top of Archie Vaughan's off stump.

The opener had played slightly down the wrong line and there was a hint of movement.

A Hint of Movement - great name for a cricket-based band?

  8. wicket

    Parkinson c Cracknell b Morgan 28 (Middlesex 430 v Durham 567)

    Durham earn a first-innings lead of 137.

Seb Morgan gets Callum Parkinson caught behind and he's on his way for a well-made 28.

Durham will be hunting early wickets at Lord's.

  9. Postpublished at 11:28 BST 4 May

Somerset 7-0 (need 253 more runs to beat Yorks)

So close to a breakthrough for Yorkshire.

Jack White brings an edge from Josh Thomas and it falls just short of Jonny Bairstow behind the stumps? Could he and the slip cordon be a tad closer?

And, as cricket law states, the next ball must then be hit for four to rub the proverbial salt into metaphorical wounds.

    Thomas obliges through the covers.

  10. wicket

Potts run out (Cracknell) 38 (Middlesex 430 v Durham 566-9)

Matthew Potts' excellent cameo comes to an end at Lord's.

The England man is run out having made 38 off 45 balls but he's helped Durham's lead up to 136.

His hard work will come with the ball shortly...

  11. 'Yorkshire must keep their discipline'published at 11:27 BST 4 May

Somerset 3-0 v Yorkshire (Somerset need 257 more runs to win)

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

It goes without saying that Yorkshire need to bowl well. They have to keep their discipline with the ball.

If Somerset are good enough to knock off 260 runs while Yorkshire hold their discipline, then they deserve to win the match.

What you don't want to see is half a dozen overs in this morning session where the ball starts to disappear.

  12. Somerset chase under waypublished at 11:21 BST 4 May

Somerset 1-0 (need 259 more runs to beat Yorks)

Archie Vaughan and Josh Thomas wander out to the middle to begin the Somerset run chase.

Jack White opens the bowling - and with the third ball, he nearly gets Vaughan.

The Somerset batter stops on an attempted clip through mid-wicket and almost spoons a catch to a fielder, but it falls just short.

Off the last ball of the over, Vaughan guides it off the face of the bat to third man for a single.

  13. wicket

    Organ lbw b McIlroy 6 (Hants 132-6 f/o trail by 190 runs)

Felix Organ is not happy with this but Jamie McIlroy has his man.

It is angled across and actually hits the Hants man above the knee roll and in line with off stump.

Given the trajectory that looks generous to the bowler but McIlroy has a second wicket.

    Madsen c Muyeye b Milnes 4 (Kent v Derbys 34-4, target 384)

    What a morning for Kent!

Matt Milnes picks up their third wicket in 20 minutes of play and it's the prolific Wayne Madsen who goes.

Paceman Milnes has 3-5 off eight overs. Stats.

    Patel b Patterson-White 15 (Leics 236-9 f/o lead by 54 runs)

Big turn out of the footmarks outside off stump and a possible bit of help from an inside edge but Liam Patterson-White has done Ajaz Patel.

One wicket away from a short chase.

  17. Haines expected to batpublished at 11:18 BST 4 May

Sussex 82-5 (trail Surrey by 182 runs)

Some good news for Sussex fans. Head coach Paul Farbrace says Tom Haines could bat at some stage today after being given the all-clear on concussion tests.

The opener was hit in the grille by a Matthew Fisher lifter with the first ball of the Sussex second innings and retired hurt to be assessed.

Speaking to BBC Radio Sussex after yesterday's play, Farbrace said: "He's fine, he's had concussion tests. There's protocols you follow. He was assessed a couple of times.

"The thing will be to check in the morning to see whether there's any headaches or blurred vision. We'll take no risks."

  18. Postpublished at 11:17 BST 4 May

    Leics 308 & 236-8 f/o v Notts 490

Lyndon James has a massive shout for lbw against Ben Green on 28 turned down by Surendiran Shanmugam.

With the benefit of replays it is hard to see how that is not given but maybe an inside edge.

  19. Postpublished at 11:14 BST 4 May

    Leics 308 & 236-8 f/o v Notts 490

Ajaz Patel is putting his money where is mouth is and has despatched Liam Patterson-White for back to back fours over his head – one straight, the next over long on.

LPW has only been hit for three fours in his previous 27 overs in this innings.

  20. 'Huge relief'published at 11:14 BST 4 May

    Yorkshire 162 & 371 v Somerset 274 (Somerset need 260 runs to win)

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Richardson just followed one outside of the off-stump and got the edge. It was a good diving catch from James Rew to knock over the last wicket.

There will be huge relief from in the Somerset ranks that Yorkshire have added only six to their overnight 365-9. It was still a very valuable innings from Richardson for his side.

We are now set up for a very exciting run chase.
