    Gloucs 154 & 88-5 v Northants 127

Calvin Harrison is limbering up - at second slip, but for now Liam Guthrie is bowling to James Bracey.

He uses a bit of width to run the ball to backward point for four.

A fuller ball is jabbed down through backward point for one.

No Harrison leg spin yet. James Sales will bowl the next over.

  2. Postpublished at 13:02 BST 17 May

    Warks 252 v Glam 360 & 0-0

Oliver Hannon-Dalby opens up with a very tidy maiden as Asa Tribe plays out the six balls.

We'll have a later lunch at 13:10 after yesterday's lost time.

Ethan Bamber goes up for an appeal from his fourth ball but Zain ul-Hassan looked to have got outside the line as the ball thudded into his pads.

A third successive maiden to start Glamorgan's second knock.

    Clark b Hill 0 (Yorkshire 486 v Surrey 93-7)

George Hill is on a hat-trick - he has 4-10 now!

More bounce and Jordan Clark is cut in half as it leaps up on him before spinning back and knocking his bails off.

A slow, brutal way to be dismissed for a first-ball duck.

  4. Postpublished at 13:01 BST 17 May

    Gloucs 154 & 81-5 v Northants 127

James Bracey is forward to James Sales to push the bowler through the off side for one.

That singles brings up the first 50 partnership of the match off 104 balls - and it could hardly have been more timely for Gloucestershire.

  5. Early lunch at Tauntonpublished at 12:59 BST 17 May

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex 105-3

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Radio Sussex

A wicket just before the rain arrived has halted a solid Sussex recovery just as Daniel Hughes and Tom Clark had reached a 50 partnership.

Credit Lewis Gregory who introduced Migael Pretorius to the Somerset attack and immediately had Clark leg before.

Hughes is still there just two short of his 50 and his experience will be vital as Sussex look to their first objective of avoiding the follow on.

The threadbare Sussex squad has understandably looked jaded in this match after four away games, and a draw in this game would almost seem like a win, in view of their injury list and shortage of players.

    Thomas c Bairstow b Hill 1 (Yorkshire 486 v Surrey 93-6)

And another - what a session it's been for Yorkshire!

Superb bowling for George Hill who claims his third.

Adam Thomas has no answer to this - it's virtually unplayable and he nicks behind to Jonny Bairstoe.

A brutal delivery from Hill (3-10). Yorkshire in charge - they are picking up the wickets their bowling has deserved today.

  7. Postpublished at 12:58 BST 17 May

    Hants 214 v Notts 196-7

Change in bowling and it's the slow right-arm of Felix Organ who comes in for his second over of the innings as we head towards lunch.

Fergus O'Neill whacks it into the offside and has enough time to almost walk through for the single. Tidy over.

Delano Potgieter returns for his second spell of the morning.

  8. Postpublished at 12:57 BST 17 May

    Gloucs 154 & 80-5 v Northants 127

A leg slip in place for Liam Guthrie and Cameron Bancroft pushes the ball away in front of square for one.

Batting conditions have eased a little in the last few minutes.

Bancroft now opens the face of the bat to James Sales and picks up another comfortable single.

Sales is round the wicket to James Bracey - who defends.

    Green lbw Snater 0 (Essex 293 v Leics 333 & 41-7)

    Identical to Stevie Eskinazi's dismissal.

Ben Green departs for a second-ball duck and having led by 40 on first innings, Leicestershire are now staring at the very real prospect of a three-day defeat.

    They are now 81 ahead.

Rain stops play at Tauntonpublished at 12:54 BST 17 May

    Somerset 526-8 dec v Sussex 105-3

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

A heavy shower curtailed this morning's proceedings, arriving just minutes after Migael Pretorius had pinned Tom Clark LBW for Somerset's second wicket of the session.

Rather like the shower, the wicket came a bit out of the blue as Clark and Daniel Hughes had been making untroubled progress on a benign pitch against slightly inconsistent Somerset bowling.

Hughes is going well, and has been particularly hard on Jack Leach, sweeping him regularly and successfully.

Sussex are still 272 runs short of avoiding the follow on, but plenty more hard work lies ahead of Somerset's bowlers on a surface offering little or nothing to either seam or spin.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:54 BST 17 May

    Holden lbw Aitchison 22 (Middx 177 & 84-3 v Derbys 376)

    He's at it again.

A new spell from Ben Aitchison and he angles one from round the wicket and pins Max Holden in front.

Holden put on 64 with Leus du Plooy, who has been joined by youngster Caleb Falconer.

  12. Glamorgan begin second inningspublished at 12:54 BST 17 May

    Warks 252 v Glam 360 & 0-0

Zain ul-Hassan and Asa Tribe come to the wicket to start Glamorgan's second innings with the comfort blanket of a 108-run lead.

Ethan Bamber is in around the wicket to the left-handed ul-Hassan who reaches for a wide fifth ball and fortunately for him, the opener misses it.

A tricky spell leading up to lunch begins with a maiden.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:53 BST 17 May

    Lawrence c Lyth b Revis 21 (Yorkshire 486 v Surrey 89-5)

That's a very big wicket for Yorkshire - Surrey are five down now - and it's Dan Lawrence who has to walk!

It's a second for Matthew Revis.

Revis gets another one to move away from the right-hander at the last minute and on the drive Lawrence - who had just hit back-to-back boundaries and was starting to motor - hits on the up and is caught superbly by Adam Lyth who dives forward at cover.

Brilliant fielding from Lyth who is having an excellent game after his century on Friday.

  14. Postpublished at 12:53 BST 17 May

    Gloucs 154 & 74-5 v Northants 127

Good shot from James Bracey in the last over - and very much low risk as there was only one leg side fielder behind square.

James Sales is on at the other end and the medium pacer is worked for a single by Cameron Bancroft.

Sales is back of a length to Bracey, who leaves outside off.

A leg side ball fizzes away for... four? No. Dead ball as there was no attempt to play it.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:51 BST 17 May

    Eskinazi lbw Snater 1 (Essex 293 v Leics 333 & 41-6)

    Absolutely no doubt.

Shane Snater beats Stevie Eskinazi's forward defensive, strikes him on the rear pad and he is plumb.

  16. Postpublished at 12:50 BST 17 May

    Hants 214 v Notts 194-7

Liam Patterson-White is getting into his stride now and takes Sonny Baker for back-to-back boundaries to relieve the pressure a tad.

He goes to 31 as Notts cut the deficit to 16 runs.

  17. Postpublished at 12:47 BST 17 May

    Yorkshire 486 v Surrey 79-4

Now Dan Lawrence is beginning to show his form.

Three boundaries off Matthew Revis - the last of which is perfectly whipped through mid-wicket - sees him move onto 12 not out.

Surrey have found runs in clusters this morning but have at times stuttered and the nature of Ryan Patel's dismissal will be a cause of frustration on the balcony.

  18. Postpublished at 12:47 BST 17 May

    Gloucs 154 & 73-5 v Northants 127

Liam Guthrie comes into the attack in place of Harry Conway.

Two slips in for the left-armer, who gets some nice shape away from the left-handed James Bracey.

The fifth ball is short and pulled in front of square for four.

    That's the 100 lead.

  19. WARWICKSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 252published at 12:46 BST 17 May

    Hannon-Dalby c Kellaway b Norton 0 (Warks 252 v Glam 360)

    That didn't last long.

Bears fans would not have expected much from thir number 11 and they don't get much.

Olly Hannon-Dalby scoops Tom Norton straight to Ben Kellaway at midwicket and falls for a second-ball duck.

Norton has 4-48 in just his second first-class match and Glamorgan have a 108-run first-innings lead.

  20. 100 up for Lancashirepublished at 12:44 BST 17 May

    Lancs 101-2 v Worcs 270

A cracking shot by Keaton Jennings who cuts away into the vacant off side boundary for four to bring up the three figures for Lancashire.
