  1. Excellent home bowlingpublished at 12:31 BST 10 April

    Sussex v Warwickshire 36-3

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

An excellent bowling performance from Sussex who have barely wasted a delivery, having been asked to bowl first on what looks an excellent batting surface.

Ollie Robinson and Fynn Hudson-Prentice set the tone with the new ball, both bowling excellent lines and lengths and passing the outside edge on numerous occasions.

Rob Yates has stood firm despite wickets falling round him, but with just 35 being scored in the first 20 overs of the day, batting has not been easy.

  2. Durham breezing alongpublished at 12:28 BST 10 April

    Gloucestershire v Durham 105-0

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

This has been as straightforward and incident free as it could have been for Durham, who were put in by Gloucestershire this morning.

The track looks as flat as a freshly-lain dual carriageway and Ben McKinney and Alex Lees have been motoring on it.

The 100 came in the 21st over. McKinney has 68 and Lees 32. MicKinney's first boundary was an edge which flew past the slip cordon. He's hit another 11 fours since then - and two sixes.

He brought up the hundred with a four and followed it with another off the next ball. Both from the bowling of Craig Miles.

This could be a long day in the field for Gloucestershire!

    Notts 78-4 v Glamorgan

What a start this has been for newly-promoted Glamorgan at Trent Bridge. Very much showing they belong at this level.

The wicket of Joe Clarke feels a big one. He was looking in fine fettle.

Kyle Verreynne gets off the mark in style with a four for Notts but the hosts are in a bit of bother here.

  4. Postpublished at 12:27 BST 10 April

    Essex 55-2 v Somerset

Craig Overton only bowled five overs in his first spell, allowing Jake Ball to continue for longer and Miggy Pretorius and Josh Shaw to get early bowls with the new pill.

He gets a burst before lunch now as Somerset will fancy a third or fourth wicket in the next 33 minutes having bowled so well this morning.

    Clarke b Gorvin 33 (Notts 74-4 v Glamorgan)

Joe Clarke has been looking confident for Nottinghamshire, but he's trudging back to the pavilion now!

It's a teasing delivery on a length by Andy Gorvin and he manages to find a gap between bat and pad.

Through it sneaks and rattles the top of middle and off.

Clarke is gone for the same number on the back of his shirt (33).

Kent have slowed up Northants' scoring at Canterbury, but not by taking a wicket. Ricardo Vasconcelos remains unbeaten on 45 with Luke Procter chipping in with 25 as they sit on 75-0.

But a wicket in Ryan Higgins' first over - Middlesex's master of all trades - and for another local lad in Naavya Sharma has reduced Worcestershire to 60-3 at Lord's after the home side won the toss.

  7. Postpublished at 12:25 BST 10 April

    Surrey 62-2 v Leics

All very steady from both sides at The Oval at the 20-over mark.

Surrey going along at just over three an over and a couple of wickets for Leicestershire, who chose to bowl.

  8. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 12:24 BST 10 April

    Lancs 57-2 v Derbys

And bang on cue (comnmentator's curse), Josh Bohannon gives a big chance at third slip off Zak Chappell.

The Lancs batsman loosens his shoulders and drives at an outswinger which flies to Martin Andersson at third slip and bursts through his fingers.

It was a difficult chance in as much as it flew like a rocket just to his right but could have been held.

  9. 100 runs

100 up for Durhampublished at 12:23 BST 10 April

    Gloucestershire v Durham 101-0

Hard going by and large for the batters in Division One, but no such worries for Ben McKinney and Alex Lees at Bristol.

This has felt like a glorified net for the Durham batters and they are cashing in on some 'average' Gloucestershire bowling.

That is shown in the delivery that brings up the century partnership in the 21st over. Short and sits up from Craig Miles and McKinney gives it the treatment.

The youngster has 64, and skipper Lees, 32.

  10. Postpublished at 12:22 BST 10 April

    Surrey 60-2 v Leics

Ben Green serves up a wide for Leicestershire and then offers too much width to Ollie Pope from the next delivery.

Pope isn't going to miss out on that for Surrey and pushes through the covers for four.

  11. Postpublished at 12:21 BST 10 April

    Lancs 57-2 v Derbys

Josh Bohannon and Marcus Harris came together at 11-2 but have quickly put the ship back on an even keel having reached fifty.

Bohannon posted a 90 in the first innings and was dismissed by a sensational catch in the second by Louis Kimber, external which is worth looking up if you haven't yet seen it.

He is looking busy and confident and has reached a briskly paced 28 with Harris beginning to find his rhythmon 21 from 44 balls.

As it to underline the point he strokes Anuj Dal for an effortless boundary through cover to move Lancs to 57.

  12. Postpublished at 12:21 BST 10 April

    Notts 72-3 v Glamorgan

Big appeals from the Glamorgan fielders as Ryan Hadley pins Jack Haynes. Not out is the call. Looked very high and may have been a bit of bat involved.

Another confident couple of strokes from Joe Clarke for Nottinghamshire as he rocks onto the back foot and smashes Andy Gorvin through point for four.

And then another boundary as Clarke flicks through mid-wicket. Clarke leading a bit of a recovery for the title defenders?

He moves onto 32 from 38 balls.

  14. 50 runs

50 up for Surreypublished at 12:14 BST 10 April

    Surrey 51-2 v Leics

Ollie Pope is off the mark for Surrey as he flicks Ben Green around the corner and down to fine leg for four.

That brings up the 50 for the hosts.

  15. Postpublished at 12:14 BST 10 April

    Sussex v Warwickshire 31-3

After that glorious first ball cover drive for four, Henry Crocombe has dotted up Australian test allrounder Beau Webster who is now four off ten.

Great lengths from the right arm seamer.

  16. Postpublished at 12:11 BST 10 April

    Notts 64-3 v Glamorgan

A sore one for Glamorgan wicket-keeper Chris Cooke who is standing up to Andy Gorvin to apply a bit of pressure on the bat and takes one for the team.

He's a braver person than any of us, standing up to Gorvin, who isn't out-and-out fast, but he's no pie-chucker.

It's helping though as Gorvin bowls a maiden.

  17. Postpublished at 12:08 BST 10 April

    Essex 37-2 v Somerset

Josh Shaw's first ball for Somerset nearly took the outside edge of Charlie Allison's bat, Tom Abell putting hand in heads in reaction to it.

Shaw is the 699th man to play first-class cricket for Somerset and the 739th to play any professional first-team cricket for the club.

He only goes for one off his first over.

  18. 50 runs

50 for Ben McKinneypublished at 12:07 BST 10 April

    Gloucestershire v Durham 85-0

Barely an hour's cricket and Ben McKinney has the first half-century of week two.

We know McKinney is highly regarded by the England set-up, so this score will be duly noted.

50 off 50 balls with eight fours and two sixes - a first 50 of the summer for him as he puts his hand up for that opening berth.

Very good, Liam! Notts openers Haseeb Hameed and Ben Slater dismissed without troubling the scorers before Ben Duckett spooned one to cover.

    Hain b Price 4 (Sussex v Warwickshire 22-3)

The second change for Sussex, Tom Price strikes for his first Sussex wicket.

He made 43 in the first and 73 in the second innings with the bat last week, now he shows his worth with the ball as he forces Sam Hain to drag one on from just short of a length.

Here is probably where it is obligatory that I remind all that he was the first man to score his maiden first-class century in the same game that he took a hat-trick, but that seems a while ago now.

Big Beau Webster in earlier than he would like at five, come midday then.

He smokes one through the covers for four first ball! Some start from the Hobart Hurricanes man maybe briefly forgetting he is not in purple v the white ball now!
