  1. 'Hopefully we can build some momentum'published at 18:22 BST 24 June

England captain Charlie Dean: "I think we would have been happy to bowl but we are ready to adapt and put on a good total. It is a scorching day here but we are ready to go.

"I think captaincy is something you get into the routine of doing and I am looking forward to having another go today. The girls have been really supportive of me and making sure I stick to my processes when I get the ball in hand.

"We know how good West Indies are in tournament cricket and we would like to rectify that, we feel like we are in a really good place as a team and hopefully we can build up some momentum and get into these knockout stages."

  2. 'An exciting opportunity that we can relish in'published at 18:20 BST 24 June

West Indies captain Hayley Matthews: "We are going to have a bowl first here today, it is a fresh wicket but as a group we want to come out and assess the conditions.

"It is definitely a special occasion, at one of the most prestigious grounds in cricket. It will be a really exciting opportunity for us but one we can really relish in.

"It is pretty warm but at the same time we all prefer it to be this temperature than colder."

  3. West Indies win the toss and bowlpublished at 18:18 BST 24 June

Well, Hayley Matthews says her players are a little bit more accustomed to these temperatures, and they'll need to be. They're going to bowl first tonight, with both teams unchanged.

  4. A scorcher at Lord'spublished at 18:17 BST 24 June

    BBC weather forecast for London

The toss could prove crucial, considering the conditions - it's still expected to be 33 degrees even at 7pm.

Charlie Dean is standing in as England captain again tonight, as Nat Sciver-Brunt continues her recovery from a calf injury, and has spoken about how they will be coping with the heat.

Cooling vests and ice packs will be run out for players, while Dean also explained that chewing gum and mints helps you cool down, apparently. Every day's a school day.
