  1. WI 3-0published at 1 over

    Target 187

A bit of a loose over from Bell, but West Indies can't punish her.

There's a wide before Matthews misses out on a couple of drives, and she swishes her bat against her pad in frustration.

I love that. Straight away Bell is on the money.

  3. WI 0-0published at 0.1 overs

    A beauty.

A hint of swing and Hayley Matthews is beaten outside the off stump.

West Indies' opening partnership of Hayley Matthews and Deandra Dottin has the potential to be one of the most destructive in the world, and they're going to need them at their best if they are going to get close to 187.

Lauren Bell, as usual, takes the new ball for England.

This match is organisers' ‘Play For Unicef’ day, with the International Cricket Council hoping to raise money for the children's charity.

Before the game, actor Nabhaan Rizwan, who works with Unicef, walked out with the trophy alongside our very own Isa Guha. He was also at the toss a little earlier.

You will also have spotted the Unicef logo around the ground throughout the day.

Really enjoying these games.Great skills on display by individuals from all competing nations and many close finishes. Keep finding myself glued to the action and neglecting domestic tasks so all good!

Perhaps the only blot on England's copybook was another failure for Amy Jones.

England have been very productive scoring runs behind the square of the wicket today. They scored 92 runs off 40 such shots at a strike-rate of 230. That is more than half the runs they have scored with the bat today. No other team has scored a higher proportion of team runs in an innings in this World Cup behind square.

That is a great first half. That is a fabulous score and I will take that every day of the week.

Given some of the pitches we've seen here recently, I reckon that's a very good score.

It's the highest score in any women's T20 on this ground and, according our esteemed colleague from The Cricketer, Nick Friend, the second highest score in any T20 international here - men's or women's..

  13. Eng 186-7published at 20 overs

A shocking ball, down the leg side and Ecclestone sweeps for four with ease.

That is a very competitive total from England.

With a semi-final place at stake, West Indies need 187 to win.

  14. wicket

    Gibson c Alleyne b Munisar 2 (Eng 182-7)

Dani Gibson falls with a ball to go, trying to loft the ball over the off side but she picks out Aaliyah Alleyene at cover.

Sophie Ecclestone has one ball to try and clear the ropes...

    Same shot, same result!

    No bother.

Charlie Dean channels her inner Heather Knight and reverse sweeps for four.

Really not sure what Heather Knight was thinking there.

She miscues a sweep and the ball plinks in the air, right at the feet of the West Indies keeper. I can only assume she lost sight of it and thought it went further, because she set off for a run and Shemaine Campbelle barely had to move to throw down the stumps.

Heather has come in and played with a flurry and looks to score boundaries most of the time. It is paying off, just what England need.

  20. Eng 170-5published at 18.3 overs

Heather Knight is on the charge!

She gets lucky with an edge past the keeper for the first boundary, but the second is pure timing, launched straight down the ground.
