It has been a very clinical day again for England. We have seen some pretty well-rounded games so far from them.

I am just happy they have not fallen off the wagon, they have had a nice run-out of games.

    England cruise into the semis!

Chinelle Henry's counter-attacking fifty ruined a few bowling figures at the end there, but ultimately the job is done.

They were clinical with the bat, solid with the ball but let a few things slip in the field. Charlotte Edwards will know that needs to improve, but the first mission has been accomplished.

  3. 50 runs

50 for Chinelle Henrypublished at 19.5 overs

    Huge!

Another massive blow over square leg for Chinelle Henry, as she gives West Indies something to celebrate with a very entertaining half-century from just 29 balls.

  4. dropped catch

Henry dropped on 45published at 19.4 overs

    Ouch.

Absolutely nailed back to Linsey Smith by Henry, one of those that either sticks or it doesn't. But it still has to go down as another drop...

  5. 6 runs

    WI 140-5published at 19.2 overs

    Fair enough.

Chinelle Henry might as well finish it with a flourish, as she slog sweeps Linsey Smith for six.

What a shot. If she finds some form in this game, that is one positive for the West Indies as they go into their final group-stage match.

Claxton almost wanted to be put out of her misery, she was really struggling from start to finish and the change in pace exposed a part of her game that she clearly doesn't like.

Not the best outing for her and not the best outing for the West Indies.

  7. WI 133-5published at 19 overs

Lauren Bell finishes with fine figures of 1-20, and England's semi-final place is all-but confirmed.

Linsey Smith will close out the game.

    Claxton c Smith b Bell 21 (WI 132-5)

    Linsey Smith holds on!

Jahzara Claxton's difficult innings comes to an end as she falls for a painful 21 from 34 balls.

It's wide from Lauren Bell and Claxton chases it, but straight to Smith at point.

  9. WI 126-4published at 18 overs

England have talked a lot about being ruthless when they are in winning positions and they haven't been tonight.

It feels weird to say that, considering how big the margin of victory is going to be, but they've let the standards slip in these closing overs even if West Indies haven't punished it.

Jahzara Claxton takes two boundaries off Charlie Dean, the first via a thick outside edge and the other is a sweetly-timed cover drive as she finally shows some intent.

  10. dropped catch

Henry dropped on 28published at 17 overs

    WI 116-4

Finally some aggression as Chinelle Henry takes the attack to Sophie Ecclestone.

She smacks one out to deep cover for four before England put down another. It's a difficult chance for Dani Gibson, running across from long-on as she's on the move, but she is one of England's best fielders and would back herself to take it.

My post at 9.27pm looks a little silly now. Apologies.

The last time England dropped more than the four catches they have done tonight was against West Indies in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Unlike that encounter, though, this is unlikely to cost them big.

  13. WI 103-4published at 16 overs

    Target 187

Bit of resistance from Chinelle Henry, as she whacks Freya Kemp down the ground for a one-bounce four.

It's baffling, though, that Stafanie Taylor is sat on the sidelines while Jahzara Claxton has 10 from 26 balls. If West Indies were ever going to get close to this challenging total, they needed one of Matthews, Dottin or Taylor to fire.

England batted brilliantly and they are likely going to reach the semi-finals with a game to spare.

But drop three catches against the Aussies...

  15. dropped catch

Henry dropped on 10published at 14.2 overs

I seem to have well and truly put the mockers on England's fielding.

Chinelle Henry drives the ball back at Sophie Ecclestone, who gets two hands to it above her head, but can't hold on.

  16. dropped catch

    Claxton dropped on 5 & 7published at 14 overs

    WI 90-4

    This is a difficult watch.

Jahzara Claxton cannot buy a run, and having just praised England's fielding, they can't seem to catch her.

The first one is tricky, as Linsey Smith spills it while diving forward at deep mid-wicket, but the second should definitely have been taken by Amy Jones as the ball sailed high into the air but it bursts straight through her gloves.

  17. Postpublished at 21:27 BST

England have been excellent in the field today.

They've made those horror drops from the last time these two teams played in the T20 World Cup seem like a lifetime ago.

  18. WI 86-4published at 13 overs

    Target 187

Charlie Dean bowls a very uncharacteristic waist-high no-ball that completely baffles Amy Jones and races away for four byes, but Jahzara Claxton can't punish the free hit.

Claxton has five from 16 balls, which is far from ideal when you need 101 off 42.
