Summary

Have your say on the Women's T20 World Cup

  1. dropped catch

Henry dropped on 10published at 14.2 overs

I seem to have well and truly put the mockers on England's fielding.

Chinelle Henry drives the ball back at Sophie Ecclestone, who gets two hands to it above her head, but can't hold on.

  2. dropped catch

    Claxton dropped on 5 & 7published at 14 overs

    WI 90-4

    This is a difficult watch.

Jahzara Claxton cannot buy a run, and having just praised England's fielding, they can't seem to catch her.

The first one is tricky, as Linsey Smith spills it while diving forward at deep mid-wicket, but the second should definitely have been taken by Amy Jones as the ball sailed high into the air but it bursts straight through her gloves.

England have been excellent in the field today.

They've made those horror drops from the last time these two teams played in the T20 World Cup seem like a lifetime ago.

  4. WI 86-4published at 13 overs

    Target 187

Charlie Dean bowls a very uncharacteristic waist-high no-ball that completely baffles Amy Jones and races away for four byes, but Jahzara Claxton can't punish the free hit.

Claxton has five from 16 balls, which is far from ideal when you need 101 off 42.

    As you were.

  7. Eng reviewpublished at 12.1 overs

Charlie Dean thinks she's got Claxton lbw as she misses a sweep.

Hopefully the outcome of this review will be less controversial.

  8. WI 79-4published at 12 overs

A tidy first over from Kemp, responding well after she'd been struck for four by Henry early on.

    West Indies need a miracle.

  9. Not outpublished at 11.4 overs

    No, the dive saves her.

The batters come back for a risky second and Freya Kemp whips off the bails, but Claxton just gets some of her bat down.

  10. Umpire reviewpublished at 11.4 overs

Run out? It's a close one.

Jahzara Claxton puts in a brilliant dive but it looks like her bat might've been in the air.

It is almost like the West Indies have given up here.

  12. WI 71-4published at 11 overs

    Target 187

    It's going nowhere.

Two runs and a wicket from Charlie Dean's over. There are some very glum faces in the West Indies dugout, none more so than Hayley Matthews.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 10.1 overs

    Glasgow b Dean 6 (WI 69-4)

And there is the result of that frustration.

Jannillea Glasgow tries to play Charlie Dean off the back foot but the ball keeps a little low and she gets a bottom edge on to the stumps.

Two for Dean, and England have a semi-final within their sights.

  15. WI 69-3published at 10 overs

    Target 187

This is an all-too-familiar scene for West Indies as their batting depth is exposed.

If Hayley Matthews and Deandra Dottin get going, with some support from Stafanie Taylor, they can be formidable but the middle order is very unthreatening without contributions from them.

Youngsters Jannillea Glasgow and Jahzara Claxton can only rotate singles off Linsey Smith.

  16. WI 65-3published at 9 overs

Sophie Ecclestone has figures of 1-5 from two overs.

    Ridiculous.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 8.3 overs

    Campbelle b Ecclestone 20 (WI 64-3)

    Ecclestone strikes!

A great piece of bowling, floated up and tempting Shemaine Campbelle to sweep. The batter obliges but the ball dips nicely and crashes into the stumps.

    England comfortably on top.

West Indies need a couple of big overs otherwise the run-rate is going to spiral out of control.

12 off Dani Gibson's first over will help, though, as Shemaine Campbelle plays a lovely controlled edge for four before pulling another past deep square.

That run-rate keeps on creeping up, which I think we are going to continue to see in this innings. There is just no rhythm to what the West Indies are doing.
