    Northants v Worcs 90-6 (trail by 201)

Northants could wrap this up tonight.

Luke Procter has just removed Brett D'Oliveira without scoring, and Ben Sanderson got Ethan Brookes and Matthew Waite, both for nought, to leave the Pears 90-6.

    Sanderson has four wickets.

    13 overs remain.

  2. Postpublished at 18:03 BST 3 May

    Leics 198-6 f/o lead by 16 runs

James Hayes fires in a decent bouncer which Ben Green thinks momentarily about hooking only to pull out of the shot once he had lined it up.

  3. 50 partnershippublished at 18:03 BST 3 May

Yorks 336-8 (lead Somerset by 223 runs)

Dom Bess sweeps to the boundary fielder for a single which brings up the 50 partnership for the ninth wicket.

Crucial runs for Yorkshire, frustrating for Somerset.

Bess has 40, Jhye Richardson is on 27.

  4. Postpublished at 17:59 BST 3 May

Yorks 332-8 (lead Somerset by 220 runs)

Dom Bess has been hit again. It's in the same place, again.

Poor Dom. He is all right, though.

  5. 50 runs

for Jonathan Tattersallpublished at 17:58 BST 3 May

    Leics 195-6 f/o lead by 13 runs

Jonathan Tattersall runs the ball wide of mid off for the single off James Hayes to bring up a second fifty of the season.

It is his 15th first class half century in all, has been 105 balls in the making and has contained six fours.

And it follows 27 in the first innings here and 112 against Glamorgan last weekend.

  6. Postpublished at 17:52 BST 3 May

Yorks 330-8 (lead Somerset by 218 runs)

How has Jhye Richardson survived there? He could have been out in three different ways.

The Australian comes down the pitch to swipe at Archie Vaughan, but the ball beats his inside edge and the off stump, hits wicket-keeper James Rew who can't collect for what would have been a stumping, and falls for his younger brother Thomas Rew at short leg, who misses with an attempted run out.

  7. Div Two latestpublished at 17:51 BST 3 May

The ever reliable Ben Sanderson has just broken a stubborn Worcestershire third-wicket stand by bowling Adam Hose. The Pears are now 88-3 in their second innings and still trailing by more than 200.

Durham are into the lead at Lord's. They're 454-6 and 24 in front of Middlesex, with Kasey Aldridge going along well on 73.

Kent are now 378 in front against Derbyshire with a couple of wickets remaining. Chris Benjamin is 123 not out.

Yorkshire 330-8 (lead Somerset by 218)

A lead of around 250 and Yorkshire will be favourites I reckon.

  9. 'Good bowling from Clark'published at 17:47 BST 3 May

Sussex 29-3, trail Surrey by 235

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

You can tell it was out from behind, it was the shape of the shot. It was good bowling from Jordan Clark.

Jack Leaning is going to be battered and bruised when he gets back into the dressing room because he's been tested with every single ball.

  10. Postpublished at 17:46 BST 3 May

Yorks 329-8 (lead Somerset by 217)

Jhye Richardson handsomely drives down the ground off the bowling of Alfie Ogborne.

The left-armer's response is to beat him on the outside edge.

Richardson then cuts the next ball to the backward point fence.

What a spell of cricket this is.

  11. Postpublished at 17:46 BST 3 May

    Leics 185-6 f/o lead by 3 runs

Notts will have to pad up again if they are to win this match after Jonny Tattersall hits James Hayes for two.

The Leics batsman moves to 41.

  12. Postpublished at 17:43 BST 3 May

    Hants 74-3 f/o trail by 248 runs

Teenager Ben Mayes looked the part in the first innings, only losing his wicket as support options ran out late on, holing out in the deep.

And there is little doubt that there are big hopes that he is going to make a big difference to Hants this season.

He has made steady improvement this season with 8, 4, 39, 9*, 15, 19 and 59 in the first innings here.

He has not missed out on a rare full toss from Mason Crane either pouncing on it and smashing up towards long on to move to seven.

  13. Postpublished at 17:40 BST 3 May

Leics 179-6 f/o, trail Notts by three runs

Kyle Verreynne could not help himself whippping the bails off and appealing after Liam Patterson-White snakes one under the bat of Ben Green.

But the appeal stalls in his throat after Green manages to keep his balance and his foot anchored behind the line.

WICKETpublished at 17:40 BST 3 May

Leaning lbw b Clark 15 (Sussex 29-3, trail Surrey by 235)

Jordan Clark strikes and Sussex are deep in the mire.

Jack Leaning, who has been struck on the thumb a couple of times, is given out lbw. It hit him on the knee roll, but there is a debate to be had about line.

Either way, the finger is up and Leaning has to go.

  15. Yorkshire lead passes 200published at 17:39 BST 3 May

Yorks 316-8 (lead Somerset by 204)

Quietly, Dom Bess and Jhye Richardson have nudged Yorkshire's lead up beyond 200 with a partnership of 30 for the ninth wicket.

  16. Postpublished at 17:39 BST 3 May

Sussex 29-2 (trail Surrey by 235 runs)

Tremendous straight drive from Jack Leaning, just missing the stumps at the non-striker's end, and rushing to the boundary.

  17. 'Albert totally misjudged that'published at 17:29 BST 3 May

    Hants 62-3 f/o trail by 260

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

I should think that Toby Albert walking back will be about as mad as he can be.

He really has totally misjudged that.

  18. Postpublished at 17:29 BST 3 May

Sussex 20-2 (trail Surrey by 244 runs)

Jordan Clark angles one in to Jack Leaning and it hits him wicket-to-wicket, sparking a big appeal, but the umpire adjudges that it's going down leg side.

Clark then gets one to spit up and take the edge of Leaning's bat, but it flies away to safety for a single.

  19. Postpublished at 17:26 BST 3 May

Sussex 19-2 (trail Surrey by 245 runs)

Daniel Hughes edges Matthew Fisher just short of the slips and it goes through the cordon and down to the boundary,

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:25 BST 3 May

    Albert c ul-Hassan b Hadley 36 (Hants 62-3 f/o trail by 260)

Set a trap and they will come... Toby Albert can't believe that he has walked right into it.

Ryan Hadley has men out on the short boundary and has banged this in hard. Albert hooks but miscues and the ball flies high to Zain-ul-Hassan at backward square leg.

Brave if you clear the rope. Naive if you hole out.
