  1. Sco 90-3published at 10 overs

Halfway through the Scotland innings and you'd think this game is finely poised despite England making those early inroads.

Richie Berrington is leading from the front and looks to be in great nick as two more fours takes his score to 36 from 23 balls.

Scotland will want their captain to build on this while Harry Brook has plenty to ponder, with his spinners leaking runs.

A great over for Scotland. They really took advantage of the flight Adil Rashid offered.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see England turn back to a bit of seam now just to mix it up a bit because Scotland seem to have their eye in against the spin.

  3. 6 runs

    Sco 77-3published at 9 overs

And Tom Bruce wraps up the over with another maximum!

18 runs coming off that Adil Rashid over - just what the doctor ordered for Scotland.

  4. 6 runs

    Sco 71-3published at 8.3 overs

    More fireworks from Richie Berrington.

That's his first six as he dispatches Adil Rashid over long-off - it's got the height and the distance as well to comfortably clear the boundary rope.

All those during the West Indies match wanting Jofra Archer dropped are looking prone to very knee-jerk reactions now. Archer is an ODI World Cup winner, bowling the super over. Jofra is class and that doesn't change because of two expensive T20 overs.

  6. Sco 59-3published at 8 overs

Liam Dawson is introduced from the other end to make it a two-pronged spin attack from England.

Richie Berrington spoke about the need to deal with the England spinners after the toss and the Scotland skipper is doing exactly that by driving Dawson for another boundary.

I think Adil Rashid and the wrist spin could present a little bit of an issue for Scotland. Richie Berrington is an excellent player of spin and if he continues to get his sweep out that's going to be a really good option for him.

Spinners averaged just 1.7° of turn across the two previous games at Kolkata, the lowest for any venue at this World Cup so far.

  9. Sco 50-3published at 7 overs

First spin of the day from Adil Rashid and he fires it through quickly.

Scotland captain Richie Berrington sweeps the England spinner for his first boundary of the innings, with eight runs coming from the over.

It's been just the start England would have wanted. Jofra Archer has bowled really nicely. He's kept his game plan simple, his pace has been up, his decisions with his variations have been good.

It’s my wedding today and I could really do with a big England win here to set the mood and calm my nerves!

  12. Sco 42-3published at 6 overs

    End of the powerplay.

England will be pleased with the work they have done so far on what looks like a good batting surface.

It was a great start from Michael Jones but he had to kick on and make a big score. That's a huge loss for Scotland and puts huge pressure on the middle order now.

It's so important to take wickets in the powerplay. Sam Curran was under pressure after the first few deliveries.

Jacob Bethell is an excellent fielder and wasn't going to make a mistake under a high ball. Scotland will have to rebuild again.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 5.4 overs

    Jones c Bethell b Curran 33 (Sco 42-3)

    4, 4, 6 and then a wicket!

Michael Jones with the aggression again but not quite the execution as he top-edges yet again but this time it doesn't clear the rope but ends up in Jacob Bethell's hands at deep mid-wicket.

  16. 6 runs

    Sco 42-2published at 5.3 overs

More misery for Sam Curran as Michael Jones find the third consecutive boundary - and this time it's a six!

The Scotland opener wasn't in full control of that shot but it still goes all the way after a top edge.

  17. Sco 36-2published at 5.2 overs

There's a chance in bowling at the other end as Sam Curran is introduced by Harry Brook.

And he is welcomed to the game with back-to-back boundaries by Michael Jones - first one whacked over covers before he opens the face of the bat to guide it to another four down the third.

This is the first time Jofra Archer has bowled three overs inside the powerplay under the captaincy of Harry Brook in T20Is.

  20. Sco 28-2published at 5 overs

Jofra Archer will continue in Kolkata, bowling his third consecutive over.

And he keeps things tight again, conceding just three runs.
