Lovely sweep from Alice Capsey! She picks a gap between mid-wicket and square and pummels four.

Lots of puzzled looks on the faces of Scotland's fielders.

  3. Eng 76-2published at 9 overs

Scotland's ground fielding is leaving a lot to be desired.

Alice Capsey picks up back-to-back boundaries - one well-struck behind square, the other a gift as Darcey Carter goes for a nonchalant one-handed pick-up and makes a hash of it.

    13 off the over.

Outstanding knock from Sophia Dunkley. She really changed the momentum of the powerplay for England.

I love the fact that she's taken her opportunity, coming in at number three for Nat Sciver-Brunt.

    Eng 65-2

Sophia Dunkley brings up her half-century with a single, giving her bat an enthusiastic wave in celebration.

She's had a couple of let-offs - dropped on four and 46 - but she's making Scotland pay and filling Nat Sciver-Brunt's shoes well.

50 off 33, including seven fours and one six.

There's been a couple of chances for Scotland, exceptionally tricky though. They are the ones that really hurt you as a team. Scotland just need to stay in the game here.

  7. Eng 63-2published at 8 overs

Hannah Rainey enters the attack and beats Alice Capsey for pace with the penultimate delivery of the over.

However, there's also frustration for the bowler as a bit of sloppiness from Priyanaz Chatterrji in the deep gifts Capsey a boundary.

Eight off the over. Should probably have been six.

Well, well, Kirstie Gordon is the bowler who is making things happen.

She could have had a few wickets in that over, with two opportunities to remove Sophia Dunkley as well as the wicket of Danni Wyatt-Hodge.

That should have been out, bad drop there.

Dropped catch - Dunkley on 46published at 6.5 overs

Another couple of lives for Sophia Dunkley.

The previous delivery, the ball died just in front of a diving Katherine Fraser at deep mid-wicket.

Then, she smashes one straight into the hands of point, but the fielder can't cling on.

That's an absolutely rancid delivery by Kirstie Gordon, there's no way she intentionally bowled that short.

Wyatt-Hodge is furious with herself for that.

    Kirstie Gordon strikes again!

She comes back into the attack and opens with a fairly ropey short delivery, but it's enough to tempt Danni Wyatt-Hodge and she picks out Kathryn Bryce at mid-on.

Smiles all round for Scotland. Wyatt-Hodge is less than impressed.

Brilliant from Dunkley again. Using her feet, creating a little bit of room, through extra cover finds the perfect spot between the fielders.

Scotland have really got to slow her down here, can they get her off strike? Now it's out of the powerplay, they should look to bring Kirstie Gordon back in and just be patient. Everyone needs to be ready, clinical and keep the stumps in play.

  15. Eng 51-1published at 6 overs

    Dunkley 43 (25), Wyatt-Hodge 7 (10)

After losing Amy Jones off the opening delivery of the match, England will be pretty happy with their efforts.

Sophia Dunkley has settled into this match after a rocky start, adding another three boundaries to her tally in the sixth over to move onto 43 (25).

That being said, she's been aided by some slightly lacklustre fielding on the rope by Scotland.

They'll also be thinking about that missed opportunity to remove Dunkley for four in the third over but it was a tough diving chance for Priyanaz Chatterji, who did well to get a hand to it.

Scotland will probably feel a bit frustrated at the moment because Sophia Dunkley has been able to accelerate. For them now, it's about slowing her down as we come out of the powerplay.

  17. Eng 37-1published at 5 overs

A boundary, a three, and a couple of singles - one courtesy of a mis-field from Pippa Sproul - keep England chugging along. They've wrestled back momentum nicely.

  18. Eng 32-1published at 4.1 overs

Very nice from Sophia Dunkley, down on one knee and guiding the ball up and over a pair of fielders hovering around fine for four.

This is the partnership that England needed after Jones went out to start. Sophia Dunkley with a point to prove. No player wants to be on the bench at a home World Cup.

  20. Eng 28-1published at 4 overs

It's almost as if Sophia Dunkley has been sparked into life by that near-miss in the previous over.

She takes Gabriella Fontenla for boundaries all around the park - cover, mid-wicket, behind square - to get the scoreboard moving.

    She's up to 24 (17). England are 28-1.
