Been a great season with not the typical big guns running away with it. Super Bowl winner likely to be from NFC, teams look much stronger. Hopefully Broncos vs Seahawks SB. A hopeful Seahawks Fan

  2. As it stands in the NFC play-offspublished at 22:49 GMT 4 January

With the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles both losing they remain where they started the day at second and third respectively in the NFC standings.

That would result in two tasty match-ups in the wildcard round next weekend, with the Rams also currently moving up into fifth which would send them to Carolina.

Still a big half of football left to play though.

    NFC seedings

    1. Seahawks
    2. Bears
    3. Eagles
    4. Panthers
    5. Rams
    6. 49ers

Miami Dolphins 10-17 New England Patriots

It looked like the Patriots would go into the break with a slender four-points lead, but Drake Maye earns two first downs in the air and on the ground to set up a mammoth 58-yard field goal for Andres Borregales.

That takes us to the half.

Buffalo have scored touchdowns on back-to-back possessions in the second quarter to set themselves on course for a 12-5 finish this season.

Ty Johnson got in from six yards before Mitch Trubisky found Ray Davis for a two-yard score.

The Bills are having fun on what is their final game at Highmark Stadium before they move into their new home, which is literally across the road.

Having enjoyed watching the NFL for a lot of years now, I only committed to supporting a team in 2018. Having gone through so many miserable seasons watching the Bears, this year has been unexpected; joyful and heart stopping. Do I think we can reach the SB? No. But am I going to enjoy the ride whilst it lasts? A huge yes. Bear down!

  6. Bears behind at half-timepublished at 22:47 GMT 4 January

    Detroit Lions 13-0 Chicago Bears

Chicago get some sort of break as Jake Bates misses a 53-yard field goal right at the end of the half, but they go in 13-0 down at Soldier Field and with plenty of work to do if they want to secure this second seed.

More of a worry for head coach Ben Johson will just be how his side have struggled - Caleb Williams has just 45 yatrds passing while the defence has allowed Jared Goff to pile up 200 yards in the air.

  7. field goal

    Washington Commanders 10-7 Philadelphia Eagles

Jake Moody converts from 56 yards as Washington take the lead right at the end of the half against the Philadelphia back-ups.

The Eagles aren't too bothered about seedings but as it stands they're finishing in third - but the second seed is there for the taking with the Bears losing.

  8. field goal

Field goal - Ramspublished at 22:45 GMT 4 January

Arizona Cardinals 6-16 Los Angeles Rams

Harrison Mevis is good from 40 yards as the Rams have the final say of the half with the last kick of the first half splitting the uprights.

That's now a nice 10-point lead for Sean McVay's side as they go to the interval looking to pinch the fifth seed from San Francisco.

  9. field goal

Quinn Ewers and the Dolphins offense stall after that blocked field goal gave them great field position, but Riley Patterson comes in with a 52-yard field goal to cut the Patriots' lead to four points.

Travis Kelce is playing what could be his final game before retiring. This is the 36-year-old's 13th year in the NFL and he has helped the Kansas City Chiefs win three of the past six Super Bowls.

He came into today's game with 12,990 career receiving yards and has so far made one catch for five yards. Another five will see him become just the third tight end to reach 13,000 yards in NFL history.

Kansas City's third-string quarterback Chris Oladokun has just turned the ball over for the second time in three possessions by the Chiefs.

  11. Blocked field goal!published at 22:38 GMT 4 January

Miami Dolphins 7-14 New England Patriots

The Dolphins block a field goal for the second week in a row!

Zach Sieler gets a hand up to block a 38-yard field goal attempt from Andres Borregales, before rookie cornerback Jason Marshall Jr recovers and returns to the Patriots 40.

The Dolphins have 1:30 left of the first half to score.

  12. Bears turn it overpublished at 22:36 GMT 4 January

Struggling Chicago roll the dice on fourth down, where Caleb Williams hits tight end Colston Loveland to move the chains, but he fumbles the ball and the Lions grab it.

After review it's ruled an incomplete pass, but either way it doesn't really matter as it's a turnover in the dying stages of the first half.

No change in Denver as both offenses continue to struggle.

Chargers QB Trey Lance has completed five passes for 35 yards, while Denver's Bo Nix has 38 yards off six passes.

    Incredible from Puka Nacua!

Nacua first shows his immense strength by driving over the line after a short catch, but he's ruled down just short.

He doesn't have to wait long for his 10th touchdown of the season though as the Rams go for broke on fourth down and Matthew Stafford floats a jump ball to the back of the end zone - which Nacua takes with one hand!

Just brilliant stuff from the second year wideout.

Field goal - Raiderspublished at 22:26 GMT 4 January

Kansas City Chiefs 3-3 Las Vegas Raiders

Quarterback Kenny Pickett started for the Raiders but Aidan O'Connell has replaced him under centre.

A strip sack on Chiefs quarterback Chris Oladokun gave the Raiders the chance to hit back and they have had to settle for a 32-yard field goal from Daniel Carlson to draw level.

  16. Fumble!published at 22:25 GMT 4 January

Miami Dolphins 7-14 New England Patriots

The short answer to that question is no.

Quinn Ewers hands the ball off to Jaylen Wright who fumbles. New England recover and have the ball at the Miami 37.

    Detroit Lions 13-0 Chicago Bears

A big touchdown in Chicago as Jahmyr Gibbs scores on a 15-yard catch-and-run from a short pass over the middle by Jared Goff.

Detroit relishing playing in this spoiler role and the Bears not really up to the task so far as they drop 13 points behind and losing their grip on the second seed in the NFC.

  18. Turnoverpublished at 22:23 GMT 4 January

The Patriots decide to go for it on 4th&1 at their own 40, but TreVeyon Henderson is stuffed up the middle and Miami take over on downs!

Can Quinn Ewers make the most of this opportunity?
