San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Seattle Seahawks - first quarter

Kyle Shanahan tries something a bit trickier on his second attempt but it's blown up and snuffed out by Seattle and they'll take over on downs on their own 44.

What a start this has been - and if you ever wondered why home advantage is so sought after in the play-offs then this Seattle crowd is showing exactly why.

  2. Fourth downpublished at 01:31 GMT 18 January

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Seattle Seahawks - first quarter

Chrsitian McCaffrey tries to convert on third and short, but runs into the backside of one of his own linemen and then is brought down by Seattle short of the line to gain.

Kyle Shanahan is going for it on fourth down and Brock Purdy converts but Seattle somehow managed to call a time out so the Niners will have to try that one again.

  3. First downpublished at 01:29 GMT 18 January

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Seattle Seahawks - first quarter

Brock Purdy moves the chains with a scramble and throw to Jake Tonges, who is the tight end having to replace George Kittle, and he'll be needed tonight as this is some test.

The 12s in Seattle are loud - they once caused a minor earthquake after a Marshawn Lynch touchdown in the play-offs.

There's almost another as Brock Purdy gets smacked and the ball pops out and is returned to the end zone, but it's ruled an incomplete pass.

    Touchdown - Seahawks!published at 01:24 GMT 18 January

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Seattle Seahawks

Oh. My. Word. Rashid Shaheed has only gone and taken the opening kick-off 97 yards all the way to the house for a touchdown!

Shaheed was brought in on the trade deadline from New Orleans and he's now scored his third return touchdowns and is the only man in the NFL this season to score on a punt and kick-off return.

A graph of the lead changes

    What a game!

The lead kept shifting hands throughout, especially in that fourth quarter where the Buffalo looked like they had it won, Denver wrested it back and then the Bills levelled in the dying seconds.

Overtime was the least that game deserved.

  8. Kick-off!published at 01:22 GMT 18 January

San Francisco 49ers 0-0 Seattle Seahawks

And we're on to Seattle - not much time between the games thanks to overtime in Denver. What will this one hold? Seattle get the ball first at home.

Josh Allen is now 0-3 in play-off overtime games, and 0-7 overall in overtime and that's going to be a building narrative.

To be fair, in one of those overtimes against the Chiefs he never even had the ball, but that won't stop the critics using that against him.

Congratulations to the Denver Broncos who advance to the AFC Championship, which they will host next week against either the New England Patriots or Houston Texans.

It was the thriller we expected, with Denver taking a handy lead but Josh Allen doing Josh Allen things to drag Buffalo back into it - and leading a late field goal to force overtime.

And then in overtime the drama of Allen leading what looked like the winning drive before that remarkable interception - and then Bo Nix doing enough for Denver to earn yet another tight win.

It's good! Wil Lutz boots the winner to send Denver through and dump Buffalo out.

Wil Lutz has a 24-yard kick to send Denver to the AFC Championship Game.

Buffalo Bills 30-30 Denver Broncos - overtime

And now Tre-Davious White is furious, throws his helmet to the ground and draws another flag that halves the distance Wil Lutz will have to kick for the game-winning field goal.

  15. Another flag!published at 01:12 GMT 18 January

Buffalo Bills 30-30 Denver Broncos - overtime

Wow! Bo Nix lofts a ball deep looking for Marvin Mims and again a flag flies in as Tre'Davious White is called for pass interference that costs the Bills 30 yards and quite possibly their season.

Buffalo Bills 30-30 Denver Broncos - overtime

Huge penalty flag comes in for pass interference against Buffalo. Well, the flag's not huge obviously, it's a normal sized flag, but it's a huge call.

That puts the ball on the Buffalo 36, which would make it a 54-yard field goal try from here.

RJ Harvey comes up with a huge play - taking a short catch and dancing through tacklers to take it 24 yards downfield and almost at midfield.

Right, so Bo Nix is back out there but way back on his own 20, let's see what he can do here.

  19. Interception!published at 01:03 GMT 18 January

Buffalo Bills 30-30 Denver Broncos - overtime

What!? Josh Allen heaves the ball downfield on third down towards Brandin Cooks who catches the ball and hits the ground under pressure from Ja'Quan McMillian, who then comes up with the ball!

What a crazy play and they're taking a closer look at it in New York.

Cooks certainly makes the catch as he goes to ground, but as he rolls over McMillian plucks it out of his arms and comes away with it. That'll stand and Denver survive.

Josh Allen and company will end the game with a score.
