    Pittsburgh Steelers 29-24 Detroit Lions

Detroit refuse to give this up, as Jahmyr Gibbs runs in what's no a customary touchdown for him to cut the gap down to just five points with four minutes left to play.

  2. Interception!published at 00:18 GMT 22 December 2025

    Atlanta Falcons 26-19 Arizona Cardinals

Jacoby Brissett is picked off by CJ Henderson and that is going to be all she wrote!

The Cardinals have just one timeout remaining and with less than two minutes remaining - all the Falcons have to do is kneel.

  3. touchdown

    Touchdown - Steelerspublished at 00:15 GMT 22 December 2025

    Pittsburgh Steelers 29-17 Detroit Lions

Jaylen Warren again! Amazingly the Steelers running back breaks off another huge touchdown run and it's from the exact same distance as he scores his second 45-yard score of the game.

  4. Jags force big turnoverpublished at 00:12 GMT 22 December 2025

    Jacksonville Jaguars 34-20 Denver Broncos

Denver need touchdowns so they go for it on fourth down from around halfway, but it doesn't come off and Jackonville have the ball back with around two minutes left in the ball game.

That should, I repeat should, be that - but in this NFL season never say never...

  5. Turnover - Falconspublished at 00:11 GMT 22 December 2025

    Atlanta Falcons 26-19 Arizona Cardinals

The Falcons look to ice the game on fourth and one but the Cardinals defence holds and we have a turnover!

Arizona now have a golden opportunity with good field position to try and tie this one up after the two minute warning.

  6. 'Bears fightback can inspire the Lions'published at 00:10 GMT 22 December 2025

Maybe the Lions can take some inspiration from the Bears' fightback last night.

They really need this one. They wouldn't be mathematically eliminated from the play-offs but every single thing would have to break their way.

  7. touchdown

    Touchdown - Lionspublished at 00:09 GMT 22 December 2025

    Pittsburgh Steelers 22-17 Detroit Lions

Detroit are back in business! Kalif Raymond runs away form a touchdown on a 27-yard pass from Jared Goff - and of course in came on yet another fourth-down gamble.

Dan Campbell loves going for it, and this is in fact his 100th fourth down conversion but more importantly it puts his team right back in the contest with well over eight minutes left.

  8. touchdown

    Touchdown - Raiderspublished at 00:05 GMT 22 December 2025

Las Vegas Raiders 21-23 Houston Texans

    Blimey.

    I've gone too early, haven't I?

The Raiders aren't done and neither is Ashton Jeanty who is in for his second touchdown of the day.

He breaks a tackle from midfield and puts on the afterburners and he's away for six.

What a great run and what a great day for the rookie.

    Jacksonville Jaguars 34-20 Denver Broncos

Trevor Lawrence trudges off with a bit of a limp after another big hit from the Denver defence, on an unsuccessful third down that means the Jags have to punt again as they try and nurse this win over the line.

We're inside the final four minutes with Jacksonville two touchdowns up - but no lead has been safe against Denver this season.

    He doesn't miss this time.

Chad Ryland knocks it through for three and we've got a one score game in the fourth in Arizona.

  11. touchdown

    Touchdown - Texanspublished at 23:58 GMT 21 December 2025

Las Vegas Raiders 14-23 Houston Texans

The Texans finally get in for six and it's an absolute gift for them, in truth.

A harsh looking holding penalty in the endzone saw them given a fresh set of downs from the one-yard line.

With the Raiders defence preparing for a run, CJ Stroud rolled out and lofted a pass to his wide open tight end, Dalton Schultz.

    That may seal this one.

  12. Interception!published at 23:57 GMT 21 December 2025

    Jacksonville Jaguars 34-20 Denver Broncos

Denver are looking to steamroller the Jaguars in the fourth quarter, as they've done to a few teams this season, but Bo Nix throws a costly interception that just takes the wind out of everyone's sails who is in orange at Mile High today.

  13. Postpublished at 23:55 GMT 21 December 2025

Las Vegas Raiders 14-16 Houston Texans

Arguably the best offensive play of the day for the Texans and it has come midway through the fourth quarter.

A 30-yard powerful run from Nick Chubb who looked destined for the house, only to be tracked down by - who else - Maxx Crosby.

  14. touchdown

Jaylen Warren with a game breaker as he storms through a big hole and then races away for a 45-yard rushing touchdown.

That came out of nowhere as Warren showed a clean pair of heels to the Detroit defence as soon as he saw an opening - and that could be huge in the destination of this game.

  15. Rodgers looking goodpublished at 23:47 GMT 21 December 2025

Aaron Rodgers, still with that cast on his fractured left wrist, has been pretty good so far with 222 yards passing and a touchdown - which could so easily have been two or even three touchdowns but for a penalty and a fumble from Darnell Washington.

The 42-year-old Rodgers really, really wants to take part in a play-off game again.

  16. 'Rodgers looks more lively, more energetic, than Goff'published at 23:45 GMT 21 December 2025

That Pittsburgh drive told you what the difference is between the great quarterbacks and the ones that are just good. Jared Goff's a good quarterback. He can press you, he can help your team win a game. He's 31 years old and Aaron Rodgers is 42, and Rodgers looks more lively, more energetic, more in command, less hesitant, more confident.

There's a big difference between the two quarterbacks and in terms of time in possession, it's 27:58 for the Steelers so far and 17:02 for the Lions, so it's remarkable the Lions are still in this, in a way.

  17. field goal

Field goal - Broncospublished at 23:44 GMT 21 December 2025

    Jacksonville Jaguars 34-20 Denver Broncos

That's three points down, 14 more to go for Denver as they get a quick field goal from Wil Lutz after a three-minute drive highlighted by a great 48-yard Bo Nix pass to Troy Franklin.

We know just how much Denver can move in the fourth quarter, but first they need a quick stop on defence to keep the momentum going.

  18. field goal

Field goal - Steelerspublished at 23:41 GMT 21 December 2025

    Pittsburgh Steelers 15-10 Detroit Lions

Same was with the Jags, the Steelers come up short in the red zone, or the Lions defence comes up big you could say, as Pittsburgh has to run out Chris Boswell to kick them into a five-point lead.

  19. field goal

Field goal - Jaguarspublished at 23:38 GMT 21 December 2025

Trevor Lawrence tries a couple of times to fire into the end zone but the Denver secondary stands up and Cam Little has to tro out to chip over a little 26-yarder.

That's still enough for a 17-point lead that will test the recovery powers of this Denver side, who have made a habit of heavy scoring in the fourth quarter this season.

  20. touchdown

    Touchdown - Falconspublished at 23:37 GMT 21 December 2025

A big old drive for the Falcons ends perfectly from their perspective - with another six on the board.

A quarterback sneak from the veteran Kirk Cousins has made this a 10 point game with 12 minutes left.
