Tampa Bay Buccaneers 0-3 Carolina Panthers
Carolina first on the board but only three points as Chuba Hubbard is stuffed for a three-yard loss inside the Bucs 10-yard line so that drive stalls right at the sharp end.
Ryan Fitzgerald chips over a 27-yard field goal to put the hosts ahead early on.

The Los Angeles Chargers can secure their spot in the play-offs for the second straight season should results go their way today.
A win for the Chargers plus a loss for one of either the Indianapolis Colts or the Houston Texans would be enough to get the job done for Jim Harbaugh's side.
For the Dallas Cowboys, it's a case of playing for pride after they were officially eliminated from play-off contention after the Philadelphia Eagles' victory over the Washington Commanders on Saturday.
NFC play-off standings - Panthers can leap into fourth seedpublished at 18:08 GMT 21 December 2025

The Philadelphia Eagles' win last night saw the defending champions join the Seahawks and Rams in the play-offs.
The Chicago Bears' dramatic win over their divisional rivals Green Bay put them on the brink of the post-season.
If Detroit, another of their NFC North rivals, lose or tie later against the Steelers then the Bears will clinch a play-off berth.
Meanwhile, the Panthers can leap from outside the play-off spots to the NFC's fourth seed if they can beat Tampa Bay to replace the Bucs atop the NFC South.

How to rebuild Chiefs Kingdompublished at 18:05 GMT 21 December 2025

Kansas City Chiefs v Tennessee Titans (18:00 GMT)

Ben Volin speaks to The Whole 10 Yards about Mahomes' injury and parallels to Tom Brady.
No Chiefs in the play-offs will be weird, and it's a tough three games they have left with nothing to play for so you fancy the Titans have a great chance of winning this one.
Patrick Mahomes has already started his rehab, and Andy Reid must already be thinking about how he can rebuild around his star man - likely without Travis Kelce who is tipped to retire.
Protecting their top asset would be a start - Mahomes has been hit more than any other QB this season, while improving his targets would help as since 2023 nobody has seen more passes dropped than Mahomes (92).
You'd expect they'll be two good starting places for the NFL Draft and off-season moves down in Kansas City if they are to rebuild Chiefs Kingdom.
NFC South on the line in Charlottepublished at 18:03 GMT 21 December 2025

The biggest swing game of the day comes in Charlotte as these two battle for the NFC South both locked together on 7-7.
Baker Mayfield is 4-0 against Carolina since leaving the Panthers and has led the Bucs to back-to-back division titles, but will need to maintain that perfect record to make it three in a row.
As happens more and more in the NFL these two sides meet twice in the final three weeks - not sure we're a big fan of that but in this case it means a virtual two-legged shootout for the title.

As contests go, there really isn't much to play for in this one tonight but that won't stop rookie quarterback Brady Cook from wanting to impress.
Thrown under centre out of the blue last weekend after Tyrod Taylor and Justin Fields both went down with injuries, Cook gets the nod again in New Orleans.
He threw for 176 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in his first NFL start but did show glimpses of promise despite a heavy defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Veteran Taylor is fit and available once more this evening but will serve as a back-up to young Cook.
Watch - wild OT win for Seattlepublished at 18:01 GMT 21 December 2025

Los Angeles Rams 37-38 Seattle Seahawks (OT)
There's so much to get through in this one you best just watch the highlights for yourself. Watch out for the craziest two-point conversion you'll ever see!
Seattle had been 0-155 when trailing by 16+ points in the fourth quarter but broke that duck in some style - becoming the first team to allow a 450-yard passer, a 200-yard receiver, have 0 sacks and 0 turnovers and STILL win the game.
