Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-3 Carolina Panthers

Well, the Bucs can't take full advantage despite Baker Mayfield getting out in front of his running back and throwing a meaty block - what a guy he is!

Tampa Bay settle for a Chase McLaughlin field goal from 23 yards to increase the lead.

  2. field goal

Field goal - Brownspublished at 18:56 GMT 21 December 2025

    Buffalo Bills 13-10 Cleveland Browns

Dillon Gabriel had just one play on that drive but couldn't get the Browns into the endzone.

Andre Szmyt jogs on for the chip-shot field goal and makes it no problem.

    Three point game in Cleveland.

This is a real good game in Texas.

  6. Big flagpublished at 18:48 GMT 21 December 2025

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7-3 Carolina Panthers

The Bucs kick a field goal but the Panthers do the unthinkable and give away a penalty that results in a Tampa Bay first down so they can keep driving and get dowmn inside the red zone.

    Criminal from the Panthers defence.

Field goal - Giantspublished at 18:47 GMT 21 December 2025

Minnesota Vikings 3-3 New York Giants

Nice little moment here as Ben Sauls drills his first career field goal in the NFL from 27 yards to level this one up in New York.

Sauls is a lefty and the first left-footed kicker in the league in seven seasons - extra brownie points for anyone who can send in the name of the last one?

The Seattle Seahawks now lead the way in the NFC at 12-3 after beating the Los Angeles Rams - who many had as the best team in the NFC before Thursday's loss.

Then the Chicago Bears beat the Packers, another team tipped to be the top dogs in the NFC to go to 11-4 as the second seeds as it stands.

Philadelphia are the defending champions but have lots of questions around them, while the 49ers and Lions face a fight to bag a wildcard - so who are the best team in the NFC?

Let us know using the feedback form above.

    Buffalo Bills 13-7 Cleveland Browns

Both running backs getting in on the action for Buffalo - this time it's Ty Johnson getting in for the score.

The Bills have turned this one around.

Michael Badgley's extra point attempt is no good.

Field goal - Saintspublished at 18:39 GMT 21 December 2025

New York Jets 3-6 New Orleans Saints

Charlie Smyth is two for two on the day.

Three field goals so far in this one - pretty much as we expected.

Kansas City Chiefs 0-0 Tennessee Titans

I know what you're all thinking - how's Gardner Minshew doing? Well, he's completed three of seven pass attempts for 15 yards so far, with an eight-yard rush added to that.

We're into the second quarter and the Chiefs have punted twice so far, so not much to write home about, but saying that top draft pick Cam Ward hasn't been too hot either, with a punt and a turnover on downs for the Titans so far.

Not champagne stuff in Charlotte today.

  12. field goal

Field goal - Cowboyspublished at 18:39 GMT 21 December 2025

Los Angeles Chargers 7-10 Dallas Cowboys

A promising drive for the Cowboys ends with three.

Ryan Flournoy thought he was in for his second touchdown of the day but a penalty was given for a hold which pushed the Cowboys back and eventually they had to settle for the field goal.

Brandon Aubrey knocks the chip-shot through.

  13. Garrett targets NFL sack recordpublished at 18:37 GMT 21 December 2025

    Buffalo Bills 7-7 Cleveland Browns

Graphic showing NFL players with most sacks in a season

Cleveland Browns' defensive end Myles Garrett has 21.5 sacks so far this season so can set the record for most sacks in a single season today - and what better why to do it than against last season's Most Valuable Player, Josh Allen.

Garrett, 29, is currently sixth on the all-time list, with Pittsburgh linebacker TJ Watt and former Giants defensive end Michael Strahan sharing the record.

The first overall draft pick in 2017 was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2023. Is he set to win the award for a second time?

    Cincinnati Bengals 7-7 Miami Dolphins

Quinn Ewers begins Miami's next possession with a completion to Jaylen Waddle and two plays later the Dolphins open a huge gap for De'Von Achane.

The running back has kept a lot of fantasy players happy this season and he keeps that going, charging into that gap and taking it all the way to the house for a 48-yard score - his eighth rushing touchdown of 2025.

    Cincinnati Bengals 7-0 Miami Dolphins

There's no play-off implications in today's game in Miami, and the Dolphins have benched Tua Tagovailoa today so that they can have a look at rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers.

Each team have to punt on their opening drive before the Bengals open the scoring with Joe Burrow leading a 91-yard drive, capped by a nine-yard touchdown pass to Tee Higgins.

    Wow!

What a throw from Justin Herbert and what a catch from hometown boy Quentin Johnston.

Herbert drops it into a bucket for the wide receiver who pulls it in with one arm under pressure from a defender.

What a difference Mike Evans makes - as he shows by taking in the opening touchdown of the game for Tampa Bay.

He returned from injury last week with 132 yards and now shows just how dangerous he is in the red zone with a textbook catch from Baker Mayfield. If you're leaving Evans one-on-one down here good luck!

  19. field goal

Field goal - Vikingspublished at 18:19 GMT 21 December 2025

Minnesota Vikings 3-0 New York Giants

JJ McCarthy fires a nice ball into the gut of Jordan Addison but the Vikings receiver can't hold on in the end zone and a touchdown goes begging.

Will Reichard boots a field goal from 43 yards but it really should be touchdowns only in this game with both sides already eliminated from the play-offs.

  20. touchdown

Well, that lead didn't last long.

What a drive that was from the Bills and what a drive that was from running back James Cook.

Three carries for 67-yards and a touchdown on that drive for Cook who is off to a hot start!
