    Kevin Kilbane
Ex-Everton and Republic of Ireland winger

On just how hard it is out there: "We had a strong team yesterday, especially in the first half, but we fell apart in the second half. I'm sore, I'm really sore. I have a lot of admiration for Savage and Shearer, I've pulled my hamstring and that's after half an hour, how they've done 12 hours straight I don't know."

Kilbane played on a team with 5live's Ian Dennis, Damian Johnson and the Weasley twins from Harry Potter

Not a score on the pitch, but the number of members of Union J. In a statement today the band stated that George Shelley is to leave: "George will now be following his own path... no longer as a part of Union J."

Josh however remains firmly with the band, except for tonight, when he's going to be doing a full 12 hour stint!

So far it's pretty standard stuff for the man from Union J. Is he simply pacing himself into the night. One shot on goal, but his team mates are keen to use him.

That's it for Alan Shearer on the pitch. Here's what he has to say:

My back and my thighs are killing me, but it's not a surprise - I've done more than Robbie on the pitch. It's all for a good cause, and it's been worth it

Shearer near the start of his epic shift.

For the sake of accuracy, we should state that Alan's mammoth stint is only slightly longer than Robbie Savage's - both have completed the 12 hours though.

  11. Cuthbert: "You've got it all"published at 20:24 GMT 4 March 2016

    #5liveaside

So who is this Josh Cuthbert fella?

    • He is one of three members of Union J (hold on, you say, 3 members? I thought there were four? Well, await my next post...)
    • When he was 14 years old he starred in the West End musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
    • In 2009 he could have joined boyband 'The Wanted' but due to contractual reasons with another band had to turn it down.
    • He had a failed goalkeeping career after losing half his thumb in an air rifle accident.
    • Oh, and girls, he's engaged. His model girlfriend Chloe said yes in November last year

And for those who need telling, "You've got it all" reached number two in the UK charts.

  12. Shear delightpublished at 20:19 GMT 4 March 2016

    #5liveaside

An absolutely top effort from one Alan Shearer. 12 hours of consecutive football (bar the odd comfort, food and physio break). The man has played in driving snow, fine rain - the stuff that soaks you through - and the biting cold. But he's done it, and he leaves with his side firmly in the lead. A hero on the football pitch, a hero on the Sport Relief pitch - you go and take it easy, sir! A well earned rest undoubtedly follows.

Oh Alan! Alan, Alan, Alan! The perfect dummy? Have a look at this goal, no credit on the scoresheet for the Geordie, but he deserves all the credit for fooling the goalkeeper.

  14. Why we're herepublished at 20:13 GMT 4 March 2016

You can show your support by donating to Sport Relief here, external

And this is what your money can do...

£25 could enable a disadvantaged child in Bangladesh to take part in sports activities for a year, improving their health, wellbeing and confidence.

£50 could pay for a disadvantaged young person in the UK to go on a sports coaching course giving them the skills they need to find work.

£70 could train a volunteer to run football and HIV awareness sessions for young people in a South African township.

Any amount, however small, will help make a difference.

  15. Shearer's last standpublished at 20:10 GMT 4 March 2016

    #5liveaside

He's already bagged one goal in this match, but this, sadly, will be Shearer's last. The man has played for 12 hours consecutively, 720 minutes, or the equivalent of 8 football matches back-to-back. Fair play Alan!

  16. Spreading the Sport Relief messagepublished at 20:04 GMT 4 March 2016

This is the kind of dedication we like to see - international travel no less. We hope the weather's a bit nicer over in Mallorca (a whole 10 degrees more pleasant than here in Salford, a quick check of the weather report reveals).

Another tight affair. Sit tight, we could be in for a great night of football! A see-saw of a match - 5-4 Savage, 6-5 Shearer, then 7-6 to Savage's team. You couldn't write it! The deficit remains at 50 overall for the Reds.

Enjoy 47 seconds of pure calamity in today's blooper reel.

Our favourite moment is the goalkeeper channelling Grobbelaar's spaghetti legs tactics. You'll have to watch it for yourself to see whether the technique paid off.

More moments people might want to forget from day two of the Five-A-Side challenge.
