  2. What did the judges think of Jay and Aliona's Paso Doble?published at 21:17

"From Week 1 for me, you've been the most consistent of all the couples. Every dance that's come at you, you've just given it your all and this is no exception," Len says approvingly.

"Goodness gracious great balls of fire! Your arm movements are probably some of the best we've seen from a male contestant," Bruno raves.

"When you first started you had absolutely no personality whatsoever, but now you have a drive and I love, love watching you," Craig comments.

"I can see there's a very sensitive man within, but the confidence you brought onto that dance floor...You're number one in my book."

  5. Does former champion Aliona think about winning again?published at 21:10

    Quote Message

I think, in general, you put so much time and effort and soul into each dance, that really you don't have any time to think about anything apart from doing your absolute best. The amazing thing about winning - because only the audience can vote - it's the biggest compliment the viewers can give you...

  6. Jay and Aliona's favourite dancepublished at 21:09

For their favourite dance, Jay will be getting his snarl on as he whips Aliona around the floor in a rematch of their Week 5 Paso Doble.

When the fierce routine made its debut, the judges gave them 33 points - will they have improved enough to gain an extra seven and win a perfect 40 tonight?

    Quote Message

The one thing I would say about working on Strictly, which has just been a joy from start to finish, is how you work with the best in the business - wardrobe, make-up, props and the singers especially. We're just cogs in a machine and they make it work.

  18. What were Jeremy Vine's favourite bits of Strictly?published at 20:50

Jeremy shares his favourite dance, and the best thing about taking part

    Jeremy Vine
    Strictly Come Dancing contestant

I think my first [dance was my favourite], the Cha Cha. Karen and I had three weeks to learn it and I simply wasn't expecting the explosive force of the audience reaction. Katie Derham said "I couldn't feel my legs" after her first, and for me that captured it. And all of us went back to the balcony and realised what we all had got into, how challenging it was going to be - and it was the most incredibly bonding sensation, to have felt that together.

Lasting eight weeks when the bookies had me down as favorite to go out first [was the best part of Strictly]! And when I came home the night of my elimination feeling a little bit sorry for myself, I looked at the Strictly twitter feed and [saw] a full three minutes of my fellow celebs paying quite undeserved tributes to me. Helen said I was the 'team captain', which was beautiful, and it was the tribute that Anita paid, especially, that made me realise that I had made real friends.
