  2. American smooth like it's Week 7published at 18:01

Both Len and Darcey awarded them their first 10s of the series to Peter and Janette for their Cheeky Charleston, giving them a total leader board topping score of 38.

Meanwhile Katie and Anton’s theatre-themed Quickstep didn't earn them a high score, but Len still thought the performance was 'fantastic'.

It was also more neigh than yay from the Judges for Jeremy and Karen’s cowboy-themed Tango to Go West, which - despite Jeremy debuting an incredible 'Tango face' - proved to contain a tad too much horsing about for the Judges.

Despite scoring a respectable 32 points for their Waltz, Kellie and Kevin found themselves in the dreaded dance off against Carol and Pacha, who performed their American Smooth once again, and were subsequently eliminated by the judges.

  4. Spook yourself Strictly with a look back at Week 6published at 17:59

Starting at the top, Georgia earned the title 'Queen of Halloween' from Len after a ghost-busting Tango that took her and Giovanni to the top of the leader board.

Swooping in swiftly behind in joint second place were Samba dancing Helen and Aljaž and Jay and Aliona, who danced a super sweet American Smooth.

In the scariest dance off of the series so far, Kirsty and Brendan performed their Charleston against a Jiving Jamelia and Tristan, but were sent packing by the judges.

  5. Jive to Week 5published at 17:55

Len showed his appreciation for Georgia's assets after her hip-swivelling Salsa, Anita's sharp Tango seriously impressed the judges and Bruno declared “the Helen and Aljaž Express is on the fast track to the top,” after the couple Quickstepped in front of the competition.

Jamelia and Tristan found themselves in the dance off again with their Foxtrot, with stiff competition from Ainsley and Natalie's Jive - but again they survived, with the cheeky chef being knocked out of the contest.

  7. Foxtrot down to Week 4published at 17:52

Week 4 may forever be known as the occasion when a whopping four couples - Kellie and Kevin, Jamelia and Tristan, Helen and Aljaž, and Peter and Janette - tied on the leaderboard with 32 points apiece.

But it was Katie and Anton's Viennese Waltz to Elvis’ ‘If I Can Dream’ that pipped them all to the top of the leader board with 33 points. (Something we think Anton will be celebrating for years to come!)

On Sunday, Daniel and Kristina had to perform their Foxtrot once again as they found themselves in the dance off opposite Kirsty and Brendan and their Paso Doble. Sadly it was to be their last Waltz in the competition, and they were sent home by the judges.

  9. Make a date with Week 3published at 17:48

Strictly took us to the movies in Week 3, as Jay and Aliona's incredible jiving Pulp Fiction homage was awarded the first 10 of the series and a cry of 'best dance EVER!' from Bruno, Georgina and Giovanni earned Craig's love with their Bond-inspired romantic Rhumba and Jamelia - going all Charlie's Angels on us - displayed 'fabulous rhythm' and got the thumbs up from Darcey for her Salsa. Meanwhile Kellie & Kevin charmed the ballroom with their quirky Star Wars Charleston.

And so to the dance off. Boxer Anthony Ogogo and new Strictly pro Oti Mabuse performed their Rocky-themed Paso Doble, but were knocked out by Cha Cha-ing Ainsley and Natalie's Happy Feet.

  13. Waltz back to Week 1published at 17:35

Cast your minds back to our couples' very first dances in the Strictly ballroom

All of our 15 Strictly stars took to the floor for the first time in Week 1, safe in the knowledge they wouldn't have to risk the dance off.

Kellie Bright and Kevin Clifton bravely kicked this year's contest off, and Len absolutely loved their fizzy Tango, while Helen George's graceful Waltz led to Darcey seeing 'glimmers of Ginger Rogers'. And even Craig traded his signature scowl for a look of sweet surprise at Anita Rani and new boy Gleb Sabchenko's cheeky Cha Cha.

    Media caption,

The first six of our couples take to the floor for the first time. Here's the highlights!

Part two of our Week 1 extravaganza saw a Cha Cha'ing Jay McGuiness's dancefloor potential scouted by Bruno, while Jeremy Vine's 'Cha Cha face' made a big impact and Georgia May Foote and Giovanni Pernice - also making his first Strictly appearance as a pro dancer - showed their attention to technique with their Jive. And longtime Strictly fan Peter Andre and his partner Janette Manrara won the accolade of the weekend, with Len pronouncing their Cha Cha the 'best dance of the two nights'.
