  7. The biggest weekend of them all?published at 18:48

Possibly the biggest BBC Music highlight of them all

It's probably fair to say that in 2014, most of Norwich were entirely unaware that megastars Taylor Swift, the Foo Fighters and Muse were due to descend on them the following year. We're also pretty sure that the surprise, once revealed as the destination for Radio 1's Big Weekend, wasn't an unwanted one!

We even managed to get the one and only Snoop Dogg down to Norfolk. Don't believe us? Watch the video evidence below - and yes, that is a Norwich FC top he's wearing!

  8. Song of the Year nominee: Can’t Feel My Face - The Weekndpublished at 18:46

The world was predicting big things for The Weeknd in 2015, but it was the insane grooves of Can’t Feel My Face that made him one of the world’s most in demand artists.

Bimringham's Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) were formed with the intent of combining pop with classical instruments - the result was some of the greatest songs in British pop history.
