    The big guns have made their way into the arena for the second part of the men's 1500m, which has just got under way.

    The Dutch fans were very loud when Kjeld Nuis - the two-time defending champion and world record holder - made his way in. He's in the third-to-last pairing.

    There were just 56 seconds left on the overtime clock when Switzerland's Alina Muller hit the back of the net to break the deadlock and clinch the medal.

    Poland's Vladimir Semirunniy leads the way in the men's 1500m at the moment, ahead of South Korea's Chung Jae-won and Canada's David la Rue.

    There will be a short break while the ice is resurfaced, after which the final seven pairs will complete their runs and the medals will be decided.

    All the big favourites will be taking part in the second half of this competition so expect those medal positions to change by the end.
