This one has to make it into our pictures of the Games because it looks like Australia's Abbey Wilcox is using the mountain to prop herself up during the women's aerials qualification.

OK, here we go... business is about to pick up!

We have a DJ playing Eiffel 65's Blue (Da Ba Dee) while a group of volunteers dance in the centre of the stage.

We're now getting a special montage saying thanks to the 18,000 volunteers who have offered their services during these Winter Olympics.

Having worked behind the scenes on one of these multi-sport events a few years ago, it's absolutely right to pay tribute to them. The Games wouldn't be able to run without them.

It would not be a full collection of photos without one of the GOAT of the Winter Olympics.

Norway's Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo celebrates winning a sixth gold medal of 2026, with victory in the men's 50km mass start classic in cross-country skiing.

He now has 11 Winter Olympics gold medals to his name. Built different.

  5. Watch: Six of the best for Klaebopublished at 20:44 GMT 22 February

There's very little argument about who the individual performer of these Games has been - Norway's Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo.

The 29-year-old has won six gold medals in cross-country skiing, breaking the record for the most golds won at a single Winter Olympics.

He now has a career total of 11 Winter Olympic golds - also a record - and carried Norway's flag at tonight's closing ceremony.

Fun fact: If Klaebo was a country, he'd be in the top 10 on the medal table.

The final few medals are being handed out as part of the closing ceremony in Verona.

Sweden's Ebba Andersson has just received her gold medal from the women's 50km mass start, while the men's champion in that event is also about to be crowned.

He's no stranger to the top step of an Olympic podium.

The competitive nature of the ice hockey games have been the highlight. Five in a row went to overtime, including the women's bronze and gold medal games.

The moment for me is when the American defenceman Quinn Hughes, three on three, turned back up the ice, spins around, drives down towards the net and hits the perfect shot to send the Americans through to the semi-final.

It was a great moment from a great player.

Watch: USA win dramatic ice hockey finalspublished at 20:34 GMT 22 February

The inclusion of NHL players at the Winter Olympics for the first time since 2014 has added even more interest to the men's ice hockey competition.

Unsurprisingly to many, that led to a USA-Canada final and it was the United States who won the final gold medal of the Games earlier today.

Jack Hughes was their hero, scoring the winner in overtime.

It was the same outcome when the same two nations met in a dramatic women's final. Hilary Knight was one of the USA's flagbearers at this evening's closing ceremony.

Charlotte Bankes and Huw Nightingale's gold was one of my favourite GB gold medals of any Olympics. Can't believe how much I cried.

We've got 4 children - aged 9, 10, 12 and 14 - and they've loved every second. It's the first Winter Games for them all that they will remember. Although no facilities near us, they've lived every twist and every turn. We're off to find an ice rink!

Plenty are using it as an opportunity to flash their medals to the camera.
