Zoe Atkin likes that, raising both poles into the air as she exits the pipe. Huge amplitude for each of her tricks.

And she goes to the top of the standings with the first 90+ score of the final!

As it stands after run one

    1. Zoe Atkin (Great Britain) - 90.50
    2. Amy Fraser (Canada) - 85.00
    3. Li Fanghui (China) - 81.25
    4. Mischa Thomas (New Zealand) - 77.75
    5. Yishan Liu (China) - 70.00

Halfpipe is where Eileen Gu shines.

If Zoe Atkin can take Eileen down in her prime it would be a monumental achievement.

But there’s going to be a huge amount of pressure here.

China Li Fanghui was second in qualifying, posting scores of 85 and 90. She's the reigning Asian Games champion, the 2025 world silver medallist, and a former youth Olympic silver medallist.

A deep landing midway through her run leaves a good chunk of the pipe unused but it's a pretty clean opening effort.

81.25 points puts her in second place, behind Amy Fraser (85.00).

And now, it's time for GB's Zoe Atkin!

Eileen Gu isn’t a happy bunny with that.

She’s immediately greeted by her mum, who is wearing a huge panda hat. They’re having a very big chat, lots of shaking heads.

Gu has brought 21 pairs of skis with her to these Games. She normally only brings two or three. Something isn’t playing ball for her at the moment.

She jumps on the back of a skidoo and is taken straight back to the top of the pipe.

I think Eileen does this for the drama - she's fallen on every event! To make her wins sweeter.

We talked about Eileen - if the pipe wasn't in perfect condition she might struggle, but looking at it, it's absolutely perfect, so everything's on her side.

There is nothing, seemingly, that should unseat her except her own approach.

"Nooooooooo" come the cries from the commentary box as Eileen Gu pulls out of her first run following an iffy landing on her first trick.

She opens with a score of 30. That was bizarre.

This was a big, big run from Amy Fraser. Well into the 80s.

Technically really strong. There's a 90-pointer in that run.

Next up, it's defending champion Eileen Gu.

Photos all round for the teams who will not progress to the last heat.

That includes Jamaica, who always get a huge cheer coming into the finishing straight.

That concludes heat three. GB will go in heat four, their final run of this Olympics, but a medal looks incredibly unlikely with them joint-sixth.

    Four-man bobsleigh (run three)

Run three is done and dusted in the four-man bobsleigh and Germany remain on course for a 1-2-3. They also swept the medals in the two-man bobsleigh, remember.

Great Britain are in joint-sixth place but are 1.23 seconds off the gold medal.

The fourth and final run will begin at 11:15 GMT, with the top 20 sleds going in reverse order of the standings.

As it stands after run three

    1. Germany (Johannes Lochner) - 2:42.86
    2. Germany (Francesco Friedrich) - 2:43.34 (+0.48)
    3. Germany (Adam Ammour) - 2:43.78 (+0.92)
    4. Switzerland (Michael Vogt) - 2:43.87 (+1.01)
    5. Italy (Patrick Baumgartner) - 2:43.96 (+1.10)

A big spill from Canada's Rachael Karker in her first run, over-rotating on her first skill and toppling onto her front. The 28-year-old won a bronze medal in Beijing.

    USA's Svea Irving also falls.

New Zealand teenager Mischa Thomas has a good pocket of support in the crowd, including a handmade poster illustrated with a couple of cows.

A couple of nice switches, an alley-oop (my new favourite word), and finishes with a flare. She goes to the top of the charts with a score of 77.75.

USA's Kate Gray gets the women's halfpipe final under way, scoring 44.50.

She scrambled a little on her final landing, pawing the floor with her hands, but stayed upright.

Remember, each skier gets three attempts and only their best run counts towards the final standings.

Zoe Atkin is the younger sister of Izzy Atkin, who won Great Britain's first Olympic medal on skis with her slopestyle bronze in 2018.

Izzy spoke to BBC Sport this morning: "It's cool to see my sister follow in my footsteps but also create her own path and make her own name for herself.

"She'll be feeling really nervous but also really excited. She's been skiing so well this week and this whole season and I think she'll carry that momentum into the season. She knows how to do it but she just has to do it now.

As expected after last night’s postponement, it’s quite a small crowd at the halfpipe, certainly smaller than it was for the men’s final the other night.

It’s an absolutely stunning morning though, and quite ‘warm’. Might even have to take a layer off.

At the X Games Zoe put down a great run to get gold there as well and now to qualify in top spot is a great position to put herself in and we know she can boost out of this halfpipe - it's one of her real strengths.

It will work in her favour because that's what the judges have been looking for.

  19. 'I am confident and feeling excited'published at 09:36 GMT 22 February

By qualifying top, Zoe Atkin will drop last into Sunday's final in the best-of-three runs contest.

"It is nerve-wracking, but it is also nice as you get to see what everyone is doing, so you can strategise a little bit," she told BBC Sport.

"It gives me confidence to know the judges like my skiing, and they're hyped to see what I bring to the finals. I am confident and feeling excited.

"The pipe is amazing. It is definitely a steep pitch, so it allows for a lot of speed, which is kind of one of my things to go big."

The sun has got his hat on for the final day of action here at Livigno Snow Park. We had a crazy amount of snow fall yesterday but it finally stopped at around 9pm.

I was woken up far too early this morning by the sound of snow ploughs clearing the streets, plus some controlled avalanche explosions. Happy Sunday.

Anyway, the halfpipe is looking ready to rock - and let's hope Zoe Atkin is too!
