    Women's curling - Switzerland 0-2 Sweden

It's advantage Sweden after two ends in the women's curling gold medal match. They lead 2-0.

Remember, Sweden won gold the last time Italy hosted the Winter Olympics, beating Switzerland 7-6 in Turin (2006).

Switzerland have the hammer for the third end.

We're trying to unpick where the judges are going with their marking - for me, there were big execution errors in Li Fanghui's run.

As things stand in the women's halfpipe final with one run to go:

    1. Eileen Gu (China) - 94.00
    2. Li Fanghui (China) - 91.50
    3. Zoe Atkin (Great Britain) - 90.50
    4. Amy Fraser (Canada) - 85.00
    5. Rachael Karker (Canada) - 79.50

Remember, only your best score from your three jumps counts towards the standings.

Oh no! It was a huge first half of the run from Zoe Atkin, coming up so high that she went up above the camera, but then she crashes hard and lands on her ski.

After a few moments to collect herself, she's back to her feet and skiing off the pipe.

She's in the bronze medal position heading into run three.

There's a long wait for Li Fanghui's score but when it finally comes up on the screen, she lets out a roar. 91.50 points! It's a China 1-2 as things stand.

Great Britain's Zoe Atkin is last up in run two. She scored 90.50 with her first effort but has been knocked into third place by Eileen Gu (94.00) and Fanghui.

Eileen Gu, finishing with back-to-back alley-oops, likes that run. She punches both fists as she comes off the pipe.

It's a huge 94 points for the defending champion to put her ahead of GB's Zoe Atkin (90.50 in run one).

If that's not her best, Ed, what is she going to deliver in run three?!?

A big, big run from Eileen Gu but critically it's not her best.

Beijing bronze medallist Rachael Karker fell early on her first run but is much improved on her second, scoring 79.50 to propel herself back into podium contention.

Fellow Canadian Amy Fraser can't improve on her 85.00 - she remains in second place.

But USA's Svea Irving, who fell in run one, did not start in round two.

Up next, defending champion Eileen Gu.

Mischa Thomas’ phone got some decent amplitude there.

It’s so warm here today that I’ve taken off my coat AND my fleece. Snow is actually melting.

How can two successive days be so different!?

New Zealand's Mischa Thomas loses her phone at the back end of her run.

It's a DNI for the teenager (not because of the phone), so she remains on 77.75 points.

Run two in the women's halfpipe final is under way.

USA's Kate Gray, in seventh after run one, falls and registers a DNI (did not improve). She remains on 44.50 points.

The first skiers have just passed the halfway mark in the women's 50km race.

Sweden's Ebba Andersson and Norway's Heidi Weng are out in front.

Third-placed Teresa Stadlober (Austria) is 1:45.6 behind, so it's going to be a two-way race for gold.

It couldn't have gone better for Zoe Atkin.

Super calm, super collected, she went huge and she was really tactical. She put down a safe, solid run that's put her into first position. She's got two more runs to try and step it up. There's not a lot to change.

We're aware Gu didn't put her run down but she was getting amplitude as well and we know she can challenge with her tricks.

Switzerland versus Sweden in the women's curling final is under way!

Sweden are searching for their fourth women's gold, having previously won in 2006, 2010, and 2018. They won their eighth World Championship back in 2011 and won their most recent medal in 2023 (bronze).

Switzerland have never won gold in the women's event, earning the silver medal in 2006 and 2010.

Switzerland are 10-time world champions, most recently in 2023, and have finished as runners-up to Canada at the past two editions.

When these two sides met in the Olympic final in 2006, Sweden won 7-6 after the match went to an extra end.

That’s how you start your Olympic final!

Huge from Zoe Atkin, and she’s only going to build on that.

Her family are stood in front of me and there are lots of smiles on faces. Atkin’s Team GB team-mate Liam Richards is with them too.

Technically it's not the hardest but it's absolutely massive.

Highest jump of 4.5 metres with an average of 2.7 metres - her average is higher than everyone else's peak!

It's a beautiful run from Zoe Atkin.
