The sweat is visible on Hammy McMillan's forehead as he sweeps a British red into the house.

Canada still lie three but there are three red stones lurking close by.

Great Britain have two guards in front of the house. Canada have three tightly-packed yellow stones near the button.

Bobby Lammie nudges into that trio to create some space, which should make it easier to clear them out a bit later in the end.

We’ve had 14 runs in the two-woman event. Team GB sit eighth.

We’re heading into the medal runs now with the top six or so still in contention.

I think we can breathe a little bit easier. If they had got that four, it was going to be very difficult in the 10th end.

They are only two up and we have the hammer. If we can get a two, get the extra end, and throw everything at it.

Bruce Mouat's team were beaten in an extra end by Sweden in the 2022 final.

They need two in this final end to make sure they give themselves the chance of an extra end here.

Men's curling final - GB 6-8 Canada (after nine ends)

Wow - Canada are oh so close to a four that might have all but secured gold, but Brad Jacobs' yellow stone just drifts out at the back of the house.

A glimmer of hope still for Great Britain, but they need to score two in the final end to take us to an extra end.

    Advantage Canada.

The biggest shot of the final...

Bruce Mouat tries to freeze on the Canadian yellow stone on the button - oof, it's close but the angle is there for Canada to chip it out...

So proud of skip Bruce Mouat for leading the team so brilliantly. Representation matters, and as an out gay man he’s a welcome reminder that we all belong in sport. A superb role model.

Bruce Mouat comes close to a double takeout, but not quite.

Brad Jacobs finds the button with his penultimate stone - placed perfectly.

One more opportunity for GB to avoid a big score against them.

A two against them won't be disastrous - in that scenario, they'd have the hammer in the last and a two of their own would be enough for gold.

GB call a timeout and I'm not in the least bit surprised.

A couple of slight Great Britain errors early in the ninth end mean Canada have three unchallenged stones sitting in the house.

They have options, at the very least.

Team GB’s Adele Nicoll and Ashleigh Nelson produce a brilliant run, their best of the competition, in heat four.

They clock 57.80 seconds to finish with an overall time of 3:51:83 and they will be really pleased with that.

After two poor runs yesterday, they’ve bounced back with a couple of super ones this evening.

We’ll find out as the evening goes on where that leaves them in the standings.

Great Britain back in the lead with two ends to go.

We're trusting ourselves now. There is still a small advantage for Great Britain but the Canadians might try to blank the ninth end. Scoring two wouldn't help their cause too much.
