Denmark's Viktor Hald Thorup gets the maximum sprint marks for the first sprint lap, but it's Jorrit Bergsma who is nearly half a lap ahead already.

American skip Tabitha Peterson delivers an excellent final stone to score two for her team in the ninth end, but Canada are still strong favourites to secure bronze.

Canada, leading by one, have the hammer so will have the last stone in the 10th and final end.

The USA need to steal one to force an extra end, while a steal of two or more would result in them clinching bronze.

Any other outcome and it will be the Canadians who are victorious.

Competing in this final is Bart Swings, who won silver in the inaugural mass start race in 2018 and went one better in 2022.

That was Belgium’s second Winter Olympic gold and first since 1948. They have only won one bronze so far in 2026, so they will hope Bart Swings this one in his favour.

After the relative disappointment of 1500m silver, the USA’s Jordan Stolz gets another chance at securing a third gold medal.

But while the 21-year-old has had some success in mass start, it has rarely been his priority. So while he started as red-hot favourite in the 500m, 1000m and 1500m in Milan, a medal here – while not necessarily unexpected – would be a bonus.

There's really good vibes in the speed skating arena as the Y.M.C.A plays.

If you were watching the women's halfpipe qualifiers the other night, you'll remember Canada's Cassie Sharpe had qualified in third but took a heavy fall on her second run and was taken off the pipe on a stretcher.

She has posted an update on her Instagram today to say she won't be competing in the final as she has suffered a heavy concussion and is still struggling with lingering dizziness.

Canada look set to clinch the bronze medal in the women's curling.

The USA got their two in the seventh end to level the score at 5-5, but Canada were able to score three in the eighth to take a firm grip on the match.

The United States have the hammer in the ninth end and desperately need a big score to keep this match alive.

The women's mass start final is at 16:15 GMT, shortly after the men's in 20 minutes time.

It has been snowing heavily all afternoon in Livigno, and as a result, the start of the women's halfpipe has been delayed. It was due to get under way at 18:30 GMT.

A further update is due at 16:00 GMT which should confirm if the final goes ahead tonight, or gets postponed until tomorrow morning.

As it stands, the snow shows no sign of relenting.

That was a rather odd race.

Three-time world champion Marijke Groenewoud of the Netherlands crosses the line first, followed by Italy's Francesca Lollobrigida in second and Park ji-woo of South Korea in third.

Ooh, almost a big crash in the pack.

Amid all the pushing and shoving, China's Ahenaer Adaker went up on one skate, desperately trying to keep her balance. If she had fallen, she probably would have taken out half the field.

Fortunately Adaker managed to stay upright and the race continued.
