Italy's Amedeo Bagnis completes his final run in 56.07 - the fastest time in run four so far.

He moves into the gold medal position with an overall time of 3:44.74.

He needs a couple of mistakes from those ahead of him to cling onto a medal but the pressure is on the sliders still to come.

We can see why the Germans are so dominant with the sliding sports. Most of the Germans are within touching distance of the medals. We've had German clean sweeps before but we won't have that today.

    Top five. Here we go.

    3. Christopher Grotheer (Germany) - 2:48.47 (+0.75)

This is a really technical track and sometimes they just don't suit some techniques and athletes.

Not too scrappy a run from Seunggi Jung but he had little skids in key positions which didn't allow him to build up speed. All those little errors cost him too much.

Marcus Wyatt moves up a spot.

It's a skiddy run from South Korea's Seunggi Jung.

GB's Marcus Wyatt will finish at least ninth!

Stephen Gogolev of Canada has one of the most eye-catching short program routines, as he dances to a mix of Prohibition era music while wearing a three piece suit.

His free skate is much more standard - to Piano Concerto No. 2 by Rachmaninov, while wearing a floaty green shirt.

It works for him, as a season best score of 273.78 moves him into first, displacing Petr Gummenik.

That was a really solid run to finish from Marcus Wyatt.

What's really important for the British set-up now is to keep building on this for the next Olympic cycle.

Great Britain's Marcus Wyatt finishes on a high, producing a smooth final run of 56.24 - his fastest effort - for a final time of 3:45.77.

He takes the lead and guarantees himself a top-10 finish.

He was only trailing seventh place by 0.23 seconds after run three. Could he climb the standings?

Marcus Wyatt definitely would've hoped for medal but the training for this track hasn't gone his way. He needed to be brave today and go for a setup change. He is carrying decent speed here.

    3 – 55.63

    4 - ??

Matt Weston could almost take his foot off the gas here, so great is the margin he has over his competitors (yes, I know it's not even half a second but in skeleton terms it's a lot).

Something tells me Weston doesn't really know how to take it easy, though.

Men's skeleton - run four (gold medal run)

Right, it's the business end of the men's skeleton with 10 sliders to go.

First up, it's Great Britain's Marcus Wyatt (+1.81 after run three).

Here's a reminder of the top five after run three:

    1. Matt Weston (Great Britain) - 2:47.72

  20. Gummenik, linked to Russian pro-war activity, competespublished at 20:23 GMT 13 February

    Figure Skating: Men's free skate

    Emma Smith
BBC Sport at Milano Ice Skating Arena

Most recently on the ice was Petr Gummenik, a Russian skater competing under the neutral flag.

A BBC investigation has found links between Gummenik and activity in Russia supportive of their aggression in Ukraine.

Gumennik has recently worked with and been coached by Ilya Averbukh, who has been sanctioned by Ukraine. Averbukh has held the role of 'Crimea's ambassador for sport', taken part in events in numerous occupied territories and staged performances for families of Russian soldiers.

Gummenik did not respond to BBC Sport's request for comment.

A score of 271.21 has put him in the lead, with 11 skaters to go.
