For Freya Tarbit, it's all about how she manages the pressure of being at her first Olympics.

Great Britain's Freya Tarbit posts a time of 57.76 (+0.54).

That's all of the Brits done for run one, with Tabby Stoecker (+0.18) in third, Tarbit in seventh (+0.54), and Amelia Coltman eighth (+0.64) with 14 sliders to come.

Austria's Janine Flock remains out in front with her track record of 57.22.

When they came out aftter sixth end, they didn't fire and I think i'd put it down to stone placement.

In the first half they weren't far away, but every shot they didn't make, the pressure was building and it got too much in the second half.

It's just been an unfortunate game and you could see their shoulders drop the further into the game they went.

After mistakes cost them in their opener to China, another few moments of slackness undermined their attempts here against the Koreans.

The British rink are without a win in their opening two matches, with the daunting task of facing the three medal favourites - Canada, Sweden and Switzerland - in their next four games.

The Canadians are up first on Saturday at 08:05 GMT.

Hannah Neise's sled is a little bit more built out, the front has a little bit of a protrusion at the front so her head doesn't drop too much. We could see her feet working to get her in the right positions.

A disappointing opening run for defending Olympic champion Hannah Neise.

The German posts a time of 57.45 (+0.23) to enter the standings in fifth place. Then again, she only took the lead after the second run in Beijing and went on to win gold, so don't count her out just yet!

Up next, Great Britain's Freya Tarbit!

    Oooooh.

A heavy touch near the bottom of the track there for Amelia Coltman and that proves pretty costly.

Huge support for the Brits here, though, and she gets a great reception as she comes into the finish house.

Amelia Coltman just needs to let the sled do the work, zone in to what the sled is doing. Bit of a mixed bag but this is what your first Olympics brings, it's all about learning.

It's a solid enough run from Great Britain's Amelia Coltman, who posts a time of 57.86 for sixth place after nine sliders.

She's +0.64 behind leader Janine Flock and half a second off the podium.

Another end, and another near-miss for Rebecca Morrison and that's it. We're done here with a couple of ends to spare.

Great Britain's Amelia Coltman will be the next slider down the track.

Austria's Janine Flock (57.22) remains at the top of the standings.

Germany's Susanne Kreher (+0.02) has just knocked Team GB's Tabby Stoecker (+0.18) into third place.

The frustration will start setting in for Rebecca Morisson.

She will probably be doubting herself and annoyed that she doesn't get the shots, but she has to remember that when you're a skip, the degree of difficulty is much more than the players further down. You have to give yourself a little bit of credit.

There’s actually not that many British fans in Cortina. At least I haven’t seen many.

That’s all changed today with plenty of them here at the sliding track to support the FIVE Brits in action this evening.

Tabby Stoecker has trained really well this week and put down a decent run there to kick off the British contingent.

Here’s a bunch of her fans sporting ‘Super Stoecker’ t-shirts.

Kim Meylemans has probably done a little bit more work on the sled than she would've wanted to but that was a decent run.

Five sliders have been and gone in run one and it's Austria's Janine Flock - with a track record of 57.22 - who retains the lead.

Great Britain's Tabby Stocker (+0.18) is in second place, although a skid late in her run cost her the lead.

European champion Kim Meylemans is third after a bump midway down the track, with world champion Kimberley Bos fourth and Anna Fernstaedt fifth.

Tabitha Stoecker came down too strong at the end. A good decent run, nerves out of the way. The next one she'll be settled.

What's going to be key with all the British girls is that they don't have as much experience as others but they've got a great team. They need to focus on being in the track and sliding the right way, not thinking about anyone else.

Team GB's Tabby Stoecker was comfortably ahead of Janine Flock following a fast start but skids at the back end of the track to finish with a time of 57.40 (+0.18).

She slots into second place with 22 sliders to come.

That was probably one of the quickest runs Kimberley Bos has had this week. I don't think she would've been happy with that, it wasn't as fast as she hoped.
