Curling - mixed doubles gold medal match

Cat and mouse, once again it's a single-point end with Sweden moving back ahead.

The USA land their final stone bang in the centre of the house. The Swedish reply looks for a second like it might not have enough power to knock it away, but it makes just about enough contact to hand the point to the Scandinavians.

After six ends, Sweden lead 4-3 thanks to their two-point second end.

We've got two ends to go.

Luge women's singles - gold medal run

It's a wobbly run from Ashley Farquharson. She's trading the lead back and forth with Verena Hofer and... beats the Italian by -0.063 to guarantee herself at least a bronze medal!

The American leads the competition with a time of 3:31.582, with Hofer second and Sandra Robatscher third.

    Two to go.

    Level again - 3-3.

The USA pair of Corey and Kory place their final stone well enough to pick up one point at the end of the fifth end.

Three ends to go, there's very little between these two pairs.

Oh, USA's Emily Fischnaller loses her line midway down the track. And another mistake at the back-end.

A nightmare final run sees her finish with a time of 3:33.035 and slip down to eighth. Her hopes of a top-10 finish are in jeopardy.

Italy's Sandra Robatscher (3:31.732) keeps the lead with four lugers to go.

    Ski jumping - mixed team

The first group of women have completed their opening jumps of the evening - and it is defending champions Slovenia who take an early lead, with Austria hot on their heels.

There has been a great turnout at the Predazzo Ski Jumping Stadium, in both the stands and the spectating area, for this mixed team ski jumping event.

Everything is going pretty much to script at the moment, with the top five countries in the world holding on to the top five positions:

    1. Slovenia - 121.5 points
    2. Austria - 121.2 points
    3. Japan - 118.9 points
    4. Norway - 116.2 points
    5. Germany - 116.1 points

You just get the feeling the USA have been hanging on a little bit here but you feel like that may give them a little bit of confidence that they are only behind.

You know what that performance from Tomas Sabate was?

    Bananas.

A couple of errors leave him with a score of 69.80, unlikely to be enough to progress.

That was very nicely done. That wasn't the two that they wanted and could have had but they do have the lead.

Every single shot is going to count here and Sweden have the advantage at the halfway point.
